FAQ / How to Play
HOW DO I PLAY THIS THING?!

MOVEMENT
- Left stick to MOVE
- Left shoulder buttons (either trigger or bumper) to DASH/HEADBUTT
Dash into other characters to headbutt them
Dash into bullets to catch them

SHOOTING
- Right stick to AIM
- Right shoulder buttons (either trigger or bumper) to SHOOT (whilst aiming)
Standing on other peoples rugs recharges your bullets

TAUNTS
- Left D-Pad to SWEAR
- Right D-Pad empties a round from your gun. Hardcore.

OTHER
- 'Start' PAUSES the game or accesses OPTIONS (if you're in the menus)

LOCAL MULTIPLAYER VS. ONLINE MULTIPLAYER

For now and the forseeable you're best off treating Friendship Club as a local multiplayer only game. Please don't buy it in the hope that online multiplayer gets added. Hanging out with friends/family/enemies is the best way to play it :)

We are looking at how we might implement online multiplayer, but we want to make sure that if we do it we get it perfect. With so many bullets bouncing around we don't want any lag or latency issues ruining the game. We don't want to invest a bunch of effort into making the game work online if for technical reasons it's just not much fun to play that way - we'd rather put that time into make the what's there as good as possible.


SINGLE PLAYER

We do want to implement a single player mode, but it's not currently a priority for us. We want to get the local multiplayer game down as tight possible and then return to thinking about how best to implement a single player mode. At the very least there will be AI / bots.

TIME FRAME / ROADMAP

We do sort of have a timeframe for development of Friendship Club but there are a lot of unknowns (as you can see above). We are dedicated to making the game as great as we can, there's a lot of ideas that are yet to make it in and a ton of polish and cool things planned. We don't want to reveal too much as we want some of it to be surprise. There might be things that go in and get taken out again or existing features that we drop if we feel they are no longer contributing to the game as we'd like them to.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE IN FUTURE?

We're going to have an environment for each character and each will have unique gameplay elements built in to it. We're also looking in to doing some designed levels to go alongside the procedurally generated ones. We've got loads of ideas that we want to play around with, and we're keen to experiment!
