Nor expect any further updates, kinda sad as it's a fun game.
Making this topic sticky so that this information is always available.
If you opened it up to the public and released the codebase on Github or something you'd probably find it would become an eSports sensation in no time at all. I know for one that I would mod it and play the heck out of it (at least if it was written in C++ or C#).
I realise it's not the most common thing to do but seeing as you guys self licensed the game. It's not like it's impossible. I check in usually once a year to see what the state of the game is like and it's just super sad that it falls increasingly further into obscurity.
Please consider doing something... seriously.
sorry for the lack of announcements & thanks for the continued enthusiasm (sincerely). We are aware of the theoretical options you mention, from selling the game to licensing it to open-sourcing it and have considered each of them. None of them are in fact straight-forward or easy but all of them are still on the table. If you have a concrete proposal (and the experience needed to execute on that proposal) please do get in touch with me directly via alex@fairydist.com and we'll talk.
Thanks,
Alex
