fOS Reboot in f0.2.8c?
Hi All, I just wanted to ask you guys how you felt about your saved data.
This is your trophy collection, SCP points , sport data, time trial times, costumes, accessories, etc etc.
I have reprogrammed the way stuff in saved in Amazing Frog? for f0.2.8c
So far I have not made it backward compatible. We have a few options here.

a)
I can write something to collect and convert all the old data so you experience no change. (but it may take me some time)

b)
I could just maybe hang on to some of the data rather than all of it. This would take me less time but i need to get a feeling for whats important to you guys. e.g. time trials? SCP? costumes?

c)
we can reboot the data... this has other advantages as somethings could be restructured slightly.

d)
reboot and put a few limited time cheats in there, like a golden piece of rubbish for SCP.

Just let me know what you think, nothing is set in stone yet. I am in favour of a Reboot. But I will not do it if the community doesn't like it.

I vote either C or D (D more, as long as the time cheats are based on the costumes, trophies etc) as both bring more advantages to the table rather than the more time consuming. Plus, a simple menu shouldn't be too much of a problem, not compared to the mess that would be option A.

I'm personally fine with the reboot, I did it once and it was fun.

I'm going to vote for D, i'm not going to use the cheats but I want other people to be saved from the hasle of doing everything all over again.

I am open for D myself. Haven't played it yet but I am all to eventually do it.

Fine with the reboot at this point, just figure things out and make sure this does not happen ever again.
I'm not a great fan of reboots... but I'll vote option D (Or whatever fits you guys the most).

Everything for my favorite developers! ;)

Full reboot will be great. I'll just be happy to get new content and whatnot, this game is huge and I can't wait to see what comes next!

B because i have put 97 hours into amazing frog and i dont want to get rid of all my main progress
Was it not possible to make a back-up of the game's data, and put it back after the 0.2.8c update?

If you vote for D, you'll get your progress back in no time because you'll be given cheats. Option D seems to be more pleasing to everyone because:
- Some people don't mind doing it all again without using cheats
- People who don't want their progress gone could use cheats to get right back on track
- We will get the update much sooner
- The developers won't have as much work porting the progress to the new update

@Task
Well, the way things are coded won't allow you to simply "drag and drop" some files. Take some other Early Access games as an example, in order to implement those huge updates, they need to clear all progress. This is why you can't buy an Early Access game without expecting save game wipes, the games need to update and it's not always compatible with the save files due to changes in the system that will most likely cause some nasty bugs.
The save files will NOT be wiped when the games receive the post-beta update, that would be unacceptable.
