Oculus Support
In the description for the game it states it supports oculus rift. There is no option in the menus to toggle it and it doesnt start if i start it through steam VR. is there something im missing?

I think they removed it in an earlier update due to issues. But they will bring it back in a future update. UNLESS, I'm wrong and they will remove it completely. :frogzone: Keep waiting for an experts responce.

Thats a bummer. In all honesty I expect games that arent built from the ground up to have VR issues lol. VR is growing but still a narrow field and I was looking forward to getting froggy in VR.

Why do the devs think this is even deserving of oculus support?

- It's not like many people have VR
- I see that it has 1st person, and all VR games are 1st person so you'd be forced to play 1st person
- It would take so much time to put in, wasting time that could be used on developing Unity 5.
- In my opinion, doesn't feel quite right to be a VR game. I don't know why, but it just doesn't.

We loved playing in in VR. Its not a traditional VR game because it will make you sick, flying about and smashing into the floor. We even spoke with oculus at one point and they made it pretty clear they didnt like it. My attitude was always a bit like - i don't get on a rollercoaster to not feel dizzy so why do you[oculus] keep taming VR as you may as well just play on a 5k screen.
But when we were flying about bouncing off trampolines we had great fun. So we put it in for us. We have a VIVE and an oculus and the version that had oculus support ran on DK2. But they kept changing their SDKs and it was getting in the way of progress. So we left it until unity 5. I have the basics for it in there, and i would like it to work with steam VR but its not a priority right now. Online is the priority but VR will happen because its just fun, but not at the expence of progress. I really need to update the store page ... thanks for reminding me, perhaps i should see if the old version still works and allow access as a beta.

I guess you guys are leaving it until after Unity 5, so it won't slow down the development of Unity 5, and I see how it could be fun. But if your eyes see that you're moving, but you aren't moving (ex. Going off of a trampoline in VR while sitting in a chair in real life) you can get really dizzy and not feel too good.

I guess maybe I'm just a little jelous of having to give up my VR headset because of NVIDIA GTX 960M graphics (requirement is GTX 970).

Thanks for the in depth reply. also there are quite a few games that are third person in VR. As for motion sickness I dont get that very often in VR, its got to be pretty wild to get my brain to lose its legs so to speak. At first the VR sickness was a slight issue in some games but after hours of VR time I think my brain has given up trying to fight me now haha.

If you do add it back in I will be very grateful but certainly as always progress for major updates and online are far more important. If you havent already however you might want to take out the large sections of the steam store page that show and talk about VR support.
