Its D&D tell me how I cheated please. all i did differently was download a player mod through the game itself, only thing i did differently. I only bought this game to play with my friends and now im out $60 beacuase VAC decided something was off. won't even tell me what happened.

Your profile shows 2 Vac Bans.
No one can help you here.
If you're innocent, and it was an error, it should be removed.
Read the Steam policy, it states you won't get the reason. It could be from CS-GO.
This game is VAC-enabled. If you didn't download a 3rd-party mod, you could try deleting the module, but I am guessing there is more to it than that just from prior complaints that showed the player was at fault and particularly since you have two bans.
Also, it's not the alleged cheating that raises the flag but the method used. (.i.e. third-party programs).
This is a serious matter, IF you are very sure nobody else uses your computer for cheating, AND no-one with whom you share a library with cheated. Steam, especially the VACsystem, holds us responsible for each and every computer we use to log in, use for in-home streaming and share libraries to.

VAC is from Valve, mothercompany of Steam. In most any case there's nothing the game company can do but since you forward a community mod as possible cause maybe your issue might be an exeption.

You should write a ticket to >>Steam Support<<. That will take a lot of patience for they are overworked. Therefore i hope for you an employee from n-Space and/or Digital Extremes picks up on this thread to help you get in touch with Steam Support as soon and as good as can be possible.

Steam support won't lift a Vac ban even if it is not your fault, per their policy page. Hence, why I said, no one can help you here.
I quote myself : "IF you are very sure nobody else uses your computer for cheating, AND no-one with whom you share a library with cheated." [endQuote]
a VACban can be lifted when it clearly is a software problem, however such have been extremely rare cases.
You got me worred so I double checked to make sure my steam acct is clear, and it is. I don't do much FPS games, where most vac-bans occur. Usually your running software that is anti-cheat, so it doesn't make much sense to me while your running that and it can tell what software you are running to then run cheat programs to give you an FPS advantage over the other players.
What mod was it krachdensal?
As i look at your achievements - earning 10.000 gold on the first day of earning any achievement, with just the Long Road completed, no dungeon crawl completed and before you picked 10 locks - that realy looks like a cheat. Also reaching level cap in 9 days might be suspiciously fast but i dop not know this game well enough to say for sure.
I completed several dungeon crawls, and the mod i downloaded was a utility mod, three npc's in the camp offer instant complete quests and tons of chests to open, so yeah it was easy to do that nonsense
I just don't understand why VAC is enabled in this game, it's not like it has PVP or any sort of competitive features. And there are plenty of ingame player made modules out there that will power leveling your characters and provide better gear.
VAC does not stop people from modding this game, it prevents people from actively altering running memory to enable things like infinite gold/hps/etc. This is to prevent people joining a game and ruining other people's experiences.

There is already an active modding community going for SCL with N-Space's blessings, and we've been happily going in and making changes to the way the ruleset works.

Mods work differently then hacking memory because its the host of a game who controls creature stats, loot tables, etc. So if I am a DM and I want to use a certain mod to lower magic drop rates, or create tougher bosses, I can do that and everyone in my game will play by those rules.

Thanks for your efforts here. I haven't been able to keep on top of the Dev forum but heard about this. Looking forward to the mods/changes.
When will the first waifu mods be coming out?
Not *entirely* sure what otaku 'non-wives' have to do with this, (is there another use for waifu I don't know about?) but we are hoping the first mods will appear 'soon' (as in a few weeks). This all depends on how much data we need to understand and test to make sure our mods work - the modding community is just starting to come to grips with the structure of the game.

Okay, so you have a mod that allowed you to "instant complete several quests" (IMO that is a cheat) and multiple chests for you to open up without playing through to get to them (again, IMO cheat). The point of the game is to play through content to get items and exp...not use some mod to bypass all of that to max out your character and get mad loot straight off. Sorry...just my opinion.

Exactly why i would like a DEV to take a look at this issue and see if mods would be capable of allerting VAC (didn't fully occur to me yet, helping out OP with Steam Support would be a side issue for the DEV).
Also, such a mod would be to make it easy for the DM to create NPC's with a lot of random loot fast. It should not be possible to enable such mods for a player-char (hence the achievements should not be granted).
the fact is that i used a MOD that i downloaded INGAME and got vac banned for it. serious wtf moment.
