As far as I am aware, no. It's fully gone.

That's terrible! it's a great co-op game. I wonder if there's anyway to have a person run a server for this game.

Theoretically possible, but the netCode would need to be reverse engineered. I know one of our former modders was looking at it a couple months back but haven't heard anything.
