Force Unleashed II won't start
Has anyone else had issues with this game? When I try to start it, it crashes right away. I have tried accessing the support.steampowered.com to see if there is anything there, but I get a screen that says Access Denied, You don't have permission to access "http://support.steampowered.com/" on this server.

More info - it opens two windows, one for what I am assuming is the game, and another that is title ActiveMovie Window. Both are just black, with nothing in them.

Having the same issue. When I click on one the Lucasarts logo starts playing for maybe half a second and then crashes.

put your resolution down to 1280 x 720 (normal game res) it should open and then you can put it to whatever you want in game. Once done go back to desk top and put it back to your normal res. That should fix that one. BUT I am having further issues with crashing during the initial cut scene before game play starts.

Set SWTFU2.exe to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode, this fixed launching the game for me. You still need to load the game from Steam to get it to start, but the compatibility mode options should be loaded when Steam launches the game.

It seems that i have to "Disable Desktop Composition". But I use windows 10... In win 8 and 10 desktop composition can not be disabled. So for win 8 and 10 users this game is impossible to play :S. So basicly F.U.CK YOU steam for selling an unplayable game.

This guy stated that the fix worked in windows 10, so you might want to ask him if he did anything extra to get it working. And you should probably check the system requirements on games before you buy the game; ask on the forums for the game if you have any questions about whether it will work on your OS. At least with the new refund policy, Steam will allow you to get a refund on the game if it's not working properly (unfortunately a good number of us never had that, I got ripped off on a game called Fray that was abandonware when I purchased it because the servers for it were shut down & Steam refused to refund the game when I requested it, where I ended up boycotting Steam for about a year until I was gifted a game where the full price of that game was slightly over what I got ripped off for, even if the game I was gifted was on sale at the time).
