What is the purpose of these two installs and do I need them installed to get certain maps or something or is it old stuff like Public Testing Installs?

Title. Checked disk and many fixes regarding windows issues.Disk was at 100% with no signs in Task mgr. Went to Steam to see in downloads verification was taking forever. Also hate new gui.

Good morning, so I've just installed Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalin Grad and then Rising Storm to player multiplayer, however whenever I launch I get: missing executable red orchestra 2/binaries/win32/modstart.bat I've verified integrity, and reinstalled both... my father has just installed and it works fine on his. I've one a search for the file "modstart.bat" and its not in the same folder on his instillation. Any suggestions? Thanks...
