Keeping the game stable

Is there a trick to keeping the game from crashing between nearly every match? Either it crashes switching maps, or it "Ran out of video memory" despite having a 9700XT

That's an interesting issue. I'm assuming you don't have these issues playing any other game?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TOXIKK\Binaries\Win32\TOXIKK.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TOXIKK\Binaries\ToxikkLauncher.exe

You may need to set these in Compatibility Mode to Windows 7.

Or, you may need to re-install the entire game and make sure to install the other required packages from a fresh install.

You can also add -log -forcelogflush into your launch options to generate logs, located here "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TOXIKK\UDKGame\Logs"

That may give more depth about what issues you're having.

Appreciate the quick response, windows 7 compat on both launcher and exe made it fail to load merc level 9 even, logging a "timed out while waiting for GPU to catch up".
My build is a 9700XT gpu, amd9800x3d cpu, 32gb ram and other modern components from a new W10 rig from this year. I'll head to the discord ig, thanks
