Decoration of Foundation

In reply to an inquiry from a Chinese player, we would like to state publicly that the map's decoration (advertisement, billboards, neon signs etc.) is not meant offensively.

TOXIKK plays in the far distant future of the 22nd century (learn more about the game's background here: http://toxikk.com/background/ ). In our vision, there will be friendship and peace between all Asian countries. To a point, where many Japanese people live in China and lots of Chineses people live in Japan. The advertisement and signs in Foundation are meant to reflect that and are NOT meant in any racist way or as discrimination, but as a symbol of tolerance and intercultural communication between Asian countries.

About the "100% human flesh" burgers etc.: That is nothing more but a joke... It is NOT meant to poke fun at Asian people, but as a thing that people ALL OVER THE WORLD might start to eat human flesh burgers in the future of the 22nd century (not limited to Asian countries). I.e., if that map played in Germany, you would see advertisement for German "Bratwurst" made of human flesh. It's ABSOLUTELY NOT meant to poke fun at a specific country or culture, but a satirical take on mankind in total.

We hope this clarifies potential misunderstandings.

I can't believe that a freelance indie developer team has to crawl to a single offended Ching (pardon my "racist" slur) for their artistic vision... that's just pathetic. Are you going to apologise to some Canadians crying that the "Twin Peak" map is not true to life enough and therefore belittle the grandeur of the natural landscape heretige of Canada?
And for the Chinese cry baby himself, have you played Deus Ex: Human Revolution? Have you seen how they portrayed Shanghai's city district of Hengsha? It is full of gangsters, junkies, pro.stitutes and in general it's one, big slum. Go and cry a river to Eidos Montreal about it (I'm sure that they would not give a single f... about it), and leave a small, indie studio alone with your fragile sense of national/racial identity.

* EDIT: I didn't know that the word "pro.stitute" in our pc culture is being consider a swearword... oh well, correction was made to bypass the censorship.

It's rather a clarification. We respect our player's thoughts and concerns... and if someone takes the time to put his view into reasonable words, then why not give him a reasonable answer?

There's a difference between Deus Ex3 and this one,maybe your impression to Chinese is bad,If you just make us looks like that one in Battlefield 4 like a group of terrorists,we can still accept,because we are still got civilization and actual strength,at least.
But Cannibal's Menu is too offensive,without the background story it just make us feel like you think we are primitive men,when I am fighting with exoskeleton suit and hi-tech weapon,you are eating human's flesh like a cannibal,with out the BGS,how do you think.
