Report a translation problem
I will finished the dlc text in german...
To localize DLC, you need to extract of the DLC1.dpk file (with the zip tool, it's similar to Core.cpk) and setup the Mods Localization Utility to the extracted folder. Everything is similar to Core.cpk.
No need to create the separate localization mod for DLC - you could simply copy localized files (txt) for DLC to your already created localization mod.
Just a note: since DLC is not a core game you will need to copy the "data/languages" folder from the game into the DLC folder temporarily, this is necessary for the localization tool to work. After you are done with translation you can delete it.
Now came the dlc, the new text is big ... ahhh ...
But i can't upload the mod - give it a new steam upload tool too?
If you have problems with it please create a new topic.
The only thing i found disappointing was the multiplayer. I really hoped to be able to play the "full game" including joining factions and the story with my friends, all joining up with the same faction, playing it cooperatively. There it is more like a sandbox game without a real goal. I for sure love games where you can play the story/campaign together. Or at least join a faction, and then expand their influence.
Have to admit that i didn't touch the multiplayer at all anymore.. ever since i bought the 4-Pack of VoidExpanse back then. Has it changed in any way since?
As for the vanilla game, I'm afraid you can only complete it up to joining a faction (the same as before), the remaining 3 final missions (for each faction) are still locked in multiplayer since they influence the world too much and it cannot work with multiplayer. But in all other aspects it is perfectly compatible. And given that there's plenty of things to do anyway it could be fun. When we were testing the game ourselves we had quite a lot of fun playing together. Especially trying to hunt aliens together in crappy T1 ships :)
As for the vanilla game, well, it doesn't matter if you join one faction or another, the fact is that the final missions for each of the factions modify the game world too much, which makes it incompatible with multiplayer, hence we had to disable it. If we had a bit more foresight before we would have designed the vanilla game a bit differently.
But either way it is just a couple more quests, so it really doesn't make any major difference because ALL OTHER quests in the game are perfectly compatible with multiplayer, including all faction story quests. There are a lot of things to do :)
Who knows, maybe also expand some more on the new crafting system. So many skills to learn for just a little bit more money earned? Seems to be sort of a waste. Would be way more satisfactory to turn the ore we mine into useful items.... boosters, turrets... maybe even hulls. Could be great to mine and mine and mine.. and then turn it into a nice shiny ship that you worked for yourself ;). The components you already have there now could be a nice new baseline for that. Maybe streamline the current manufacturing process. It feels a bit clunky to only be able to go in batches for 10 and to click through all this again and again till all your ore is used up.
