In-game Chemestry?
I was fooling around with the smelting and looking at the different metals there are -for some weird reason- when I saw Tungsten and thought that it would be cool if you could build a chemestry set and then bake a cake to give to someone to make their charcter sick for a few days! :steamhappy: When you do get sick :steambored:, either wait out the two days or you can make medicine that is not easy to make. So you better have it already made, just in-case. :steamhappy: I thought that was a cool idea that, I don't think many games have.

I never accept cake from strangers.

However, I believe diseases are something that will be in the game in the future so you would need some medicines for that. No idea if they will be attained through plants and herbs or something involving some sort of chemistry. Firearms are coming so we will need some sort of gunpowder. Sulfur is obtainable and burning wood will give charcoal. All that is needed is potassium nitrate.

As @PG suspected, diseases are indeed planned :) Same about chemestry (or more specifically, the ability to create medicine). Unfortunately I have no ETA for that yet. Probably it will be implemented once the other survival features (temperature, food spoilage, enemies) are ready ;)

Maybe this could be found on the walls of caves (like in real life)--we could mine it.
