Blue Hurricane?

So, I'm trying to use Blue Hurricane to help win the Bardock fight. However, every time I use it my character flies up to the top of the map like a jackass and hits absolutely nothing and noone. What am I doing wrong? Or is this what Blue Hurricane is suppossed to do?

Yes it is what Blue Hurricane is suppose to do. Sadly no lockon available. Just use your right analog stick and readjust the camera to help you navigate the Blue Hurricane towards the desired target(s).

Working as intended.. It works great if the enemies are at the top of the area.

Ultra Fighting Bomber works better for that fight...

I just completed this quest. I equipped myself with all the clothing that I could that would boost ki supers and armed myself with Final Flash and Scatter Kamehameha. Whenever there were many opponents near Bardock I would target the one he's fighting and use SK. When separated from Bardock and for the majority of the fight once Frieza appeared, I used Final Flash everytime I got the chance.

Yeah, that's how Blue Hurricane works. You can move while using it, so guide yourself towards the targets you need to take out.

Ultra Fighting Bomber is a better move if you're a Ki Super user, though.

Kai Kai, Super Saiyan/Vegeta if you are a Saiyan and Ultra Fighting Bomber. Also if you have the Z-Soul "WHY YOOOUUUU!" or whatever it is, you've got the perfect setup to cheese that quest.

Kai Kai lets you teleport to Bardock
Super Saiyan/Vegeta enables Ultimate Spam
Ultra Fighting Bomber is OpieOp Ki Ultimate
WHY YOUUUUU! Z-Soul fully restores your ki whenever you KO an enemy

It's possible to do it without all that but this is the easiest way to deal with it.

for easier aoe use spirit blade plus pose k for to be sure to hit, hurricane isn't a reliable skill. ^^

Honestly, forget Blue Hurricane. Do Parallel Quest #38 and get the Super Vanishing ball. Stay near Bardock and don't let Freeza's goons anywhere near him.

My strategy was:
-Equip "Super Vegeta 2" since it gives you infinite Ultimates until it runs out and increases Ki attack power
-Purchase "Maximum Charge" from the Skill Shop so you can charge Super Vegeta 2 so it doesn't run out
-Do PQ #38 and grind until you get the Super Vanishing ball
-Go Super Vegeta 2 in the Bardock mission, spam Super Vanishing Balls, charge to keep the form, the spam Freeza with the SVB

I was able to beat the level and keep all enemies away from Bardock by using Blue Hurricane.

Equip your best Ki Attack, and use Why You Z-Soul (Regenerates Ki when you kill an enemy), spam...

A tip to anyone who uses Blue Hurricane on the COM.. use Taunt. They lock onto you and they don't really fly away. They stay close and usually don't fly to the top of the hurricane.

Good to know. Going with a striker build and roughly figured when the best times to use are (corners and knocked down), but they still get away sometimes before it gets going. Tears giant apes to pieces (maybe multi hit given the different areas you can target?).
