EXODUS Launches April 7, 2027 | Official Release Date Trailer

Aug 25

Today, at Opening Night Live, we revealed the official EXODUS release date: April 7, 2027.

⠀

In our newest trailer, watch Jun Aslan, salvager turned Traveler, join forces with Salt, an Awakened octopus companion who’s as deadly as she is intelligent. A mercenary and bounty hunter, she hasn’t needed anyone… until now. Her will to survive matches Jun’s own, and together, they’ll have to fight to save the place they call home.

⠀

Different species, same fight. And countless ways this could go sideways.

EXODUS RELEASE DATE TRAILER HIGHLIGHTS

⠀

Here are a few highlights to look out for.

⠀

Salt Spotlight

⠀

Across the journey, Jun will build a crew of extraordinary companions, human and Awakened animals alike, each bringing their own skills, scars, and reasons for joining the fight. Salt, an Awakened octopus, is one of them.

⠀

Piloting a specialized combat mech, Salt is a master of long-range sniping, quick evasive maneuvers, and ink-like smokescreens that confuse and disorient enemies. She thrives where others can’t, and in the middle of a fight, no one quite has Jun’s back like she does.

⠀

Salt has survived this long by not needing anyone. That changes here. Watch as two strangers, hardened by very different worlds, find themselves standing back-to-back against the same enemy, fighting not just to survive, but to protect the one thing worth going back to: home.

⠀

Keep an Eye Out for Emrys

⠀

Salt isn’t the only one fighting alongside Jun. Emrys, a member of the Deva, an enigmatic Celestial species defined by plural consciousness, also joins the fight. Emrys plays support, launching Remnant Orbs that drain and weaken enemies while feeding the stolen power back into Jun as protection. For a being like them, it barely registers as effort at all.

⠀

Outside of battle, Emrys is often lost in thought, marked by their unusual stillness, detachment, and a deep familiarity with both human and Celestial affairs. They might be the most puzzling companion you never expected to recruit.

⠀

There’s More to Salt’s Story

⠀

The trailer opens and closes with brief cinematic moments, offering a glimpse into Salt’s past and what shaped her into the survivor she is today. It’s only a taste. See more of this cinematic when we hit the next Wishlist Milestone: 1 million wishlists!

We want Turkish subtitles support in EXODUS, please <3 <3 !!

Greetings from Turkish gamers! We were incredibly excited when we learned that the team behind Mass Effect had a new game, and we were very disappointed not to see Turkish among the supported languages. As Turkish gamers, we love role-playing and action games, as well as science fiction. We enjoy all kinds of content, be it games, movies, TV series, or animations. The Mass Effect series has been widely played in our country, and reviews have always been positive. Unfortunately, we didn't have language sup...

The Extended Gameplay Reveal is the most comprehensive look at EXODUS you’ve seen yet. This is Jun Aslan’s journey across the Centauri Cluster. You’re a scrappy salvager turned Traveler pulled into the fight of your life, leading a crew of unforgettable companions across the most dangerous reaches of space, and exploring ancient ruins for what could save your homeworld from the Rot, a Celestial virus driving humanity toward extinction. Game Director Chris King guides you through it all: combat across deadly worlds, exploration of fallen civilizations, Paladin and Immortal morality alignments that define who Jun becomes, companions—human and Awakened animal alike—who fight alongside you, and high-stakes decisions that shape how your story unfolds.

No Character Creator

In case you missed it, this was stated in the latest Community Update: “Character customization has been widely discussed since our reveal. As we continue to reveal more about our game, we want to be upfront and transparent with you about where character customization stands. This has been a long journey, and along the way, we made a creative decision to build a more defined character. Our customization feature set is focused on curated options rather than a full slider-based character creator. This me...
