Do you think you will be able to bring us more changes thanks to this delay?

Also are you planning any other patch before?

Well, probably a good decission. They can work on things this way, and make a better game in the end. 2 months delay is a lot but im not wondering that much, im wondering how many people are actively working on the game anyway, it can not be thaaat many... Progress is too slow AS u can See, however, im glad they will get the time to polish things up (:

good. they didnt delayed the vanilla release back in the day and we all know what hapened afterwards. if they need more time, they should get more time. win-win situation.

Can't say I'm not a little disappointed, but at the same time it is a bit of a relief to see that Ubisoft finally learned their lesson, at least a little. Patience has never been my strongest suit, but I'd still rather wait for something really worthwhile than get a rushed disappointment.
Best of luck to you guys at Limbic, I hope this delay allows you to deliver what you desire to.

I doubt. It seems that the patch provides also a lot "harsh" bugs, which they are trying to eliminate. :\

As far as I know (and this is of course subject to change)
No 'bridging' patch between now and Addon. This is mainly due to the delay it would take for testing. Here is what would happen. We would make a new build without any of the addon features in it, this is called a branch build.
That build then needs to get everything individually tested on it outside of the addon build, which is called a Trunk build. So in that regard the work gets doubled. Then say they find an issue in the Branch build, you have to fix it JUST for the branch build because that's the one being tested, and then you implement it into the Trunk, but the Trunk has different code in it now because you have all the Addon features. Can you see where i'm going.

I doubt there will be new features. Polish and number tweaking, closer balance and all that sort of stuff is what will be brought with the delay. You put a new feature, it needs more testing, it conflicts with current stuff, so on so forth. Getting stuff added to a roadmap earrly in development that is unplanned (like the skilling change) was hard enough, adding something now? Forget about it.

Also I wouldn't say the addon delay relates to 'lack of news' As I mentioned the last time you said that. Ubisoft actually have a timeline on when they want to post articles, so they post them as they see fit, i'm sure there is a marketing person somewhere with a grand plan. I certainly haven't seen it though.

After that. I really don't know anymore than you guys. I only found out this news hmmm, like 1 week ago max? Like a working week, so Monday perhaps? But atleast there will be more polish so I think that's always a good thing.

I don't think there will be a 'beta' build, though I would personally like one, even just for a weekend. Maybe I will try push for that if I can get decent feedback from it.

Delay = Good Decision, devs take aditional time and bring us good game! I would be happy that you add same with H7 and bring us a game without that much bugs! :)

Thanks Heart for the explanation. I like the insights you give into the development of the game.

Very disappointed though. I don't buy much games, and H7 was the last game I bought. I have been waiting for 1.9 to play, so...

Oh so the game will be stuck with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI for roughly 1 year since release LMAO... Are you ashamed or is that human feeling alien to you?

About the news & delay: I think (just my opinion) that people in Ubisoft knew about the release delay longer ago. Otherwise there would be much more advertising of this addon in the previous weeks :steamsalty:

About more stuff. I did not expect some major rework of currently working features which could need some big changes and a lot of work. I am speaking about the smaller things which are still missing, usually the ones which appeared in previous games, help the game make a bit more interesting and, what's the more important fact, the things which should not break anything in the gameplay or which do not need to work together with anything else, so not much testing would be needed.
Examples: starting bonuses for each mission, endgame screen (yes, again speaking about this :steamhappy:, I am really waiting for it).
I do not think these things would take a lot of time to be implemented, would they?
(I am definitely not experienced in programming and things like that so I may be wrong).

If not for the things above, I hope you will have at least enough time to make finally challenging AI, I am conviced about you have a lot of feedback about the things connected with it.

Why didn't you guys delay the base game? The community almost begged you to do it. But oh well, guess you learned from your mistakes.

Maybe there is a posibility to at least release an 1.81 that fixes Multiplayer fights desync? ( which I understand it.s already fixed in next patch)

We can simply Not play MP and this delay puts us on hold even more

cool, perfect timing because now i'm busy with stellaris (what an incredible game!!) and soon i'll be busy with overwatch :D i would have bought the addon in june but it suits me better in august :D

thanks and hopefully it will be perfectly polished by august :D
