Linux version
The original Surviving Mars has a Linux version. And it works pretty well.
Will the new version support the Linux platform?

There are plans to support Linux or Mac at this moment.

Will there be indirect linux support via official steam deck support?

Read it again :)
Great news. Unless that's a typo.
Huh, that is some weird phrasing. Here's hoping it does in fact mean yes.
The dev studio is from Sophia, Bulgaria, so English is unlikely to be his first language?
ChoGGi, you here already, that is so comforting : D

Your mods basically made this game for me, thank you.
Will get if it has a native Linux build. I have the original game and some DLC, I'm not particularly motivated to re-purchase a game I already have, so please support Linux so I have more motives to get this.

Otherwise, I appreciate the 50% discount for "returning pioneers".
I never really left ;)

Thanks
+1 for native GNU/Linux support. Will only consider buying the game if it is supported. No Tux, no bucks

Oh no, not you and the 5 other users.

No but seriously just use Proton, the game works fine on latest stable 10.X.

Majority don't want to do native linux builds anymore since it's a hassle to support and you're some of the most entitled users when stuff doesn't work.

PROTON

I'm sure you have solid customer survey data on this?

sure, proton has improved day and night in the past 10 years. but it still always feels "wrong".

also, i had problems and had to go back to proton 9.0.

so, vote for native linux from me, too.
Been trying to run it on proton 10, keep running into an issue where it just crashes on loading with no error message, so game is not entirely stable on 10.x

Awesome. Thank you. Also thanks for fixing the mouse cursor bug, if I read that right. It was really annoying.
