Please Read: How to report problems
If you are unlucky enough to encounter any bugs, crashes or other technical problems while playing Primal Carnage: Extinction, this post details how to assist us in finding solutions for you.

If you're looking for general advice on how to improve the game's performance on your machine, please visit this link.

Please post any new problems in their own separate topic here
or on the official Primal Carnage forum.[]

Outlined below are the essential things to include / use when reporting issues...

Your hardware and installed software can have a big impact on how the game runs. Laptops will usually have a harder time running Extinction due to either the lack of a dedicated graphics card or weaker hardware in general than a desktop computer.

Key information needed:

Processor type
Name of graphics card
How much graphics memory
How much system memory
Operating System

A reminder: Primal Carnage: Extinction officially supports only Windows.
Running it on other OS such as Linux or Mac is not recommended.

Whenever the game launches or crashes there is usually a log saved as a text file in the Primal Carnage Extinction folders. If you encounter crashing it is very helpful to supply us with these logs. To find them, please use the following steps:

Right click Primal Carnage Extinction in your Steam library
Go to Properties
Click on Local Files
Click Browse Local Files
Open the PrimalCarnageGame folder
Open the Logs folder

Upload 3 or more of the most recent files in there to a filesharing site such as Mediafire or Dropbox, and we will try to take a closer look at the problem. The .dmp files contain useful info about crashes and Launch.log helps us see how the game is interacting with your system.

Please try to take a printscreen of any error messages or write them down if you encounter a crash. It is also helpful to link a Steam screenshot of any problems or glitches that happen while playing. By default, you can take a Steam screenshot by pressing F12.

When you find a bug in Primal Carnage, it's encouraged for you to use this console command. Here are the steps involved:

Open up the console using the F7 key and type in `bugit' without the quotation marks.

This will output a .txt file and screenshot to your Primal Carnage game files.
By default, it is located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\primal_carnage\PrimalCarnageGame\Screenshots\Win32Console\

Attaching a screenshot is helpful, but please use the Steam screenshot function instead of uploading the high res image Bugit produces. It can be quite time consuming having to load a bunch of bitmaps to track down an issue. Bugit is what we use internally for QA testing, so it is the quickest way to point us in the direction of a problem spot on a map if you find one.

Thankyou for reading!
Hopefully with this information you can help us help you help us all.
