Are you still planning to release a Mac OS version?
I've been following this game for a whiile and remember (unless I'm mistsaken) talk of it being availble for Mac also? If that's right are you guys still planning to release a Mac version? Because if you did, I would buy it.

For the time being, we don't work on a version for Mac desktop computers. An iOS version is part of our development, though.
Might want to think about Linux/SteamOS too. Well, for the release version anyway.
It's not that we don't want to do that, but there's a limitation with what we can do with our engine.
just adding to the discussion, if for some reason you COULD add steam os/linux support, I'd happily buy. Love these kinds of games.
Mac Version
Is there any information about a Mac Version? I know they say that they will support OS X but the information is pretty sparse. Do we have any info on when this will come out and if it will be supported on Steam? I don't want to purchase it on Steam only to find out that the mac version is only going to be on the App Store.
It would be nice to see a SteamOS/Linux version!

I understand limitations of game-engines… So I guess… There is a limitation?
Due to engine restrictions there won't be an OS X version. I'm sorry if you get the impression that there will be such a version, but we never said anything that could indicate that.
If we had the possibility we would do a version, but it's just not supported by our engine.
Yes, there is a limitation.
Thank you for answering!
Good luck to you!

… maybe there will be solutions in the future I guess. If not by your engine maybe by a capable wrapper… (I do not own your game and did not try it with the Wine emulator for example which maybe could be wrapped…)
Yeah, thanks for answering guys. I wasn't entirely sure if I'd read about a mac version or not so no worries. The game looks awsome!

Out of curiosity, what is the limitation? Kind of odd you can do an iOS version and not an OS X one.

We use the Vision game engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_%28game_engine%29

Oops. That's looks pretty compatible :)
I don't know how much was done already on the engine-site… but Vision seems to support Android-Linux, iOS and Chrome (which runs on several platforms).
* pressing thumbs * :)

Unfortunately at the current state the processing in chrome is to slow and still windows only.

Ah, I see… Yes, that's sad! – But, thank you for the updates! :)

Edit: I think I have succefully run some Vision games already via Wine. The Dark Eye: Demonicon and Orcs Must Die run well I think… Sadly no native ports, no wrappers even, though…
