Single Missing Fish

I'm missing a fish in Loch Ness, the second fish in the second row of the fish encyclopedia despite my best efforts, just want to confirm this isn't a bug.

Missing it as well, don't recall it being there before the current patch but I could be wrong.

Also missing that fish and the first in the second row at Outer Banks when I know for sure I had every fish before the update. Bug or did they add new rare fish cause been searching and I can't find anything new?

Super super rare, took me like 2-3 hours patroling the area to get it spawned.

That's annoying, do you remember what the two look like so I know what to look for? And I'm assuming the scale every fish achievement is still bugged

it is easy to spot tough once you see it: its very red (not just the stomache)

You know, I was half convinced you two were trolling me while I was looking for it lol Red Herring was the missing fish and yeah, Prep Expert achievement still appears to be bugged. Anyone looking for it I found it about halfway down the middle in Loch Noss.

To my understanding (and I could be wrong) the Red Herring spawns when you serve the Selkie customer. Her hint is suggestive of this.

It turned out to be true, and with the help of Selkie, I was able to find this fish in just 5 minutes. As they said, it was in the middle of the lake.

Is it a rare spawn when you ask the Pink/Grey Selkie ? Because I've got her 4-5 times and I don't see that fish. But I find it strange to find only one Porcupine Fish at the same place and not mentionned in the Almanach... So if I think correctly maybe it's this location... ?

is this hint for only the first selkie served? I've tried like 5 different selkie and haven't gotten a hint.

I got it with a grey/pink selkie, just keep reseting the map and going down between flag area and pyramid. took me 30 minutes

Just got the Red Herring on Loch Ness without the current client being Selkie, instead being Kelpie. I suspect it's not related to the client?

If I were to start over again, I’d not even worry about the Red Herring in Loch Ness. I naturally caught it twice in the final area as well as spending an hour catching it in Loch Ness several hours before that.
