One path in the Frank on the beach conversation leads to her saying she loves Rachel.
I belive in that same converstation Frank says that Rachel didn't love her or somthing along those lines
I never thought it could have been that, but you are right since even in the scene, Chloe said something to Max asking if she was jealous - if I remember correctly.
I don't recall half the stuff that you mentioned happening in the previous episodes other than the part about the strip club (I tried the steal the funds decision just to see it, though I picked the don't steal for my game). That said, when did she say that she will be Max's date and telling warren to ♥♥♥♥ off?
I too picked the kiss Chloe option and I too thought that Chloe was testing the waters before the kiss because Chloe was so freaking presistent to make sexual jokes to Max before that scene. Even before episode 3 was released, I thought Chloe was bi or into Max because of the various sexual jokes she made towards Max about making out and ass grabbing. While it is true that friends do make gay jokes towards one another for fun, the way Chloe, however, joked as if she was testing the waters. However, after the kiss, I have noticed that Max was a bit open about it.
As for Chloe simply being bi, I too agree and made an opinion about it on another thread months ago. In the swimming tool scene, you can choose different options when Chloe ask how Max feels about Warren. I don't recall all the options, but one of them has Max saying that they are gross while another was her telling Chloe that she is such a mankiller. I chose the latter. Chloe's reply was similar to the scene after this scene where she said that men in Arcadia are gross after Maxed if her idea guy is a guy with tattoos or something similar. That scene, combined with the bedroom scene after that, and the scene where Chloe says she hates him or blames her dad for abandoing her or something to that, made me realize that Chloe once liked boys, but because of her experience with them and how well Rachel treated her, she gravitated towards women. Chloe could be a bisexual who loved both sexes, but didn't realize that her friend with pre-Seattle Max was a sexual attraction until she met Rachel and realized that she likes women too, and prefers it. A key factor here is the bedroom scene when she talks about boys. I think episode 3 is a good ep in regards to Chloe's character development. In one of her dialogue, she says that boys are gross and that Max will find that out herself. That and what you said about how she was into boys until Rachel (I caught this line of dialogue as well) implied that she was into guys or thought she was until she met Rachel and realized that she loved her. To me, this is like how some people in real life do not know their sexual preferences until later in life - both Max and Chloe are teens so they are still trying to find their identities. That said, it is prefectly find that Chloe thought she was into boys until later on.
I am going to share a bit of my own experience with someone who was gay, but was "straight" before as I think it relates here. When I was in college, I had a roommate who identified himself as gay even though he said that he would more likely be catagoried as bi, which I will get into a bit. What is interesting is that Chloe's sexual identity reminds me of my former roommate as it is similar. Anyway, my roommate was straight where he had girlfriends and had sexual in his late teens. However, once a family member of his came out to him, he questioned his own sexuality and decided to date guys. At the time I knew him, he was seeing the guy for a decade. He said that he likes to be with men, but he doesn't know how he felt about women as he finds them attractive, but prefers guys.
Both episode 4. I don't know if she refers to herself as Max's date for the party if you haven't been on the "pro-Chloe path" (yes to the kiss, and she likes Max enough to have her pic on her phone instead of Rachel in episode 3). Chloe's text to Warren telling him he's "out of the loop" happens either way, though, it's just Max's response to Warren telling her about it that varies based on whether she had previously agreed to "Go Ape" with him. If she agreed to the movie date, Warren says Max can bring Chloe too if she wants, and if Max didn't arrange the date, all she responds is "Chloe texted you?" and then Warren sends several texts after saying Max should go to the movie with Chloe, and self-pityingly says "she seems cool enough for you", and Max never responds lol.
It can be pretty fluid for a lot of people. Personally, I think if Max were a guy, it wouldn't matter to Chloe, and she'd still have the crush.
I see. My play through was a bit pro Chloe, though I did not get the pic since I didn't steal the money nor didn't answer the phone. I think I probably recall the Max's date for the party - was that when they were in the truck before they went to the pool party?
Someone here said that Chloe is pan sexual by which she falls in love with anyone regardless of their sexual gender. I can see that with Chloe since I think she loves Max because they were so close to each other as friends.
Anyway, I noticed the way Chloe dresses might be Dontnods' way to show how comfortable Chloe is being her true self with other characters. Chloe is the only NPC in the game that has multiple character models. A bit strange considering that the other NPCs have one character models each with different clothing skins. For Chloe, not counting alt or kid Chloe, she has the regular jacket model, the non-jacket model, the bedroom/sleep wear model, and swimming pool/bra and panties model. Whenever we see Chloe outside of the house, she is wearing the jacket. The only times we see her without the jacket is when she is at home smoking a joint and talking to Max or getting yelled at David. I theorized that when she wears her jacket that is when she has her guard up the most - this is when we see her as this hard rocker chick who likes to drink and be sassy to other characters. When she is at home, she shows a bit of vulnerability as we see that she isn't all tough - she gets slapped by David if you don't stand up to her. We even see her loosen up when she dances and smokes weed after being happy that Max is back in her life. Finally, whenever she barely has any clothes on, she is the most vulnerable as she shares intimate things with Max. This is when her guard is completely down. What I like about this is this theory is that whenever she has less clothes on, it shows how comfortable she is with Max. I mean, people in real life when they are at home, have as much clothing on because they are comfortable.
based on evidence evidence ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. You can't say Chloe's straight when there's boob and half-naked women posters all around, flat-out said that she loved Rachel and dared Max to kiss her.
At best, she's bi-sexual leaning towards women. Prove to me it's just a hormonal teenage phase and we'll talk.
Don't forget the butt mag, the constant flirting with Max, and talks of wanting to be with Max forever.
Now that I think about it more, love is about reproducing and/or being with your best friend till you die. Seems fitting that Chloe would want to be with Rachel and Max then.
WE haven't seen her be intimate with a guy.. I don't count Jefferson because he's treated like the male version of Rachel. Can we really say she's bi?
I had a similar thought. This dev does a lot with visual symbolism and "cinematography" (don't know what else to call the choices in camera angles/framing of shots in a video game). Chloe has a punk aesthetic, for sure, but it's a bit old fashioned for 2013--heavy leather jacket and big heavy boots. She almost always wears a hat, too. You can look at it as a "suit of armor". She covers almost all of her skin, but not because she's prudish or modest about her body. It's a visual representation of her emotional defensiveness.
We haven't seen it, just heard. Joyce mentions Chloe went through a phase of dating "bad boys" and Chloe doesn't deny it if Max brings it up. But we don't know if she felt actual romantic or sexual attraction for them, I suppose. I've known at least two lesbians who tried dating men in the past, one even had a boyfriend for several months, but ultimately she just wasn't into it. So we don't really know precisely unless the writer of the game just explicitly tells us.
I'm guessing people got this vibe with that dialogue option where she said she had slept with men.
Personally, I think she's a lesbian. The posters, Rachel and Max says well enough.
I agree, I think she's a lesbian too. Everytime I see replies in this thread I think of this:

I agree. I was trying to implying it was her way of putting her emotional guard up, rather than being modest, so I apologize if I wasn't clear - in the first ep, we don't really get to know her until she is in her house without her jacket. Once she is barely wearing any skin, that is when she really opens up. During those two scenes in episode 3, we learned why she was so obsessive to Rachel and her sexual orientation, which was alluded to in previous episodes. This is also the moment when Max can kiss Chloe - when Chloe is in full jacket mode, she doesn't share about her romantic life, yet alone being blunt for Max to kiss or not. While her liking women shouldn't define her, it does shows that he has romantic feelings for Rachel and Max.
