Crash when in caverns

For some unknown reason, my game has a tendency to freeze and crash when I enter a cavern. I suspect it has to do with the graphics, as lowering the screen resolution tends to make it less likely (but not impossible); the game will systematically crash when in 1920x1080, but only occasionnally when on lower resolutions.

Specs, if that's relevant:
CPU : Intel Core2 Quad @2,83 GHz
Windows 7 64-bit
RAM : 8 GB
GPU : AMD Radeon HD 7770

Any help would be most welcome!

First things first, make sure that you have updated drivers for all of your hardware, Windows, Direct X, and especially your graphics card. Make sure you have the automatic updates on for the game too. If none of these things help, you'll have to contact tech support for the game.
