How bad are the micro-transactions?

i love me some black flag, and odyssey. However, i cant stand when company's dump in a ton of micro-transactions.

are things earn-able like in odyssey? do something in game a bit, earn some points and you can purchase something.

is it purely purchasable? is it just cosmetics?

I had heard a complaint about items like resources in this ac being needed and the resources being in the micro-transactions, which is kind of a bummer for me personally, if that's the case.

there's no need to buy anything at all. in fact you have to manually enter a shop to even see the micro transactions. don't worry about it - people who like to spend money on cosmetics and to have better weapons (not needed) can do it. but you're not forced to spend anything. there's plenty of loot (to many infact?) to collect....

Basically you can buy the items you need with rl money or you can do the work to fill in the map or find the resources. It's basically just how lazy you wanna be.

There are micro transactions, its a single player game, and some core game features are not included if you don't buy them, like a map.

If that is all negative for you, don't get the game. Most games with this level of microtransactions are f2p.

Incorrect. The map fills out as you explore the area to encourage exploration. The map you can buy automatically fills it in for you. Again, i'ts more if you want to be lazy about doing it.

If you liked Odyssey, you know that it already had microx and a lot of them ..
This is nothing new .. they are just drowning, wasting millions of resources for their monetization department and this is the result instead of hiring some actual historians and artists

There are no paywalls .. so its only up to you.
Many of the stupid grindwalls you can easily break without paying or grinding ..
You dont need to be Solomon to know how ..

You would surprised how some games can be actually funny and nice once you kill the paywalls or grindwalls.
