Pretty sure you're not asking for a refund with almost 100 hours in game.

For $40, you've more than gotten your entertainment value out of this title, and it's not even finished. You can expect at least another 50 hours of play when the game fully releases.

I really don't get the lack of respect when it comes to this particular game and developer. Witchfire is incredibly unique, and I think a lot of people take this $40 indie title for granted. Like this kind of quality just pops out of the industry all the time, in one of the oldest and stalest genres of them all.
0.9 and 1.0 are on the way, we're not remotely done with the game. :D

Can you give us any news on release date? Is it a matter of weeks or months?

I could say “weeks” and technically be correct, but that wouldn’t be a very helpful answer.

The honest one is: we’re not ready to share dates yet.
0.9 is the main focus, but a lot of what we’re working on overlaps with features and content planned for 1.0, so things aren’t as cleanly separated as they might seem.

We’d rather announce dates once we’re confident we can stick to them than throw out a guess and then walk it back later - that kind of back-and-forth is just frustrating.

But don’t worry, we don't do shadowdrops; we’ll have a series of posts leading up to 0.9, so you’ll get a proper heads-up and a look at what’s coming before it lands.

I appreciate this kind of response, and you actively responding to valid questions. It helps players see the nature of game development. For those that can’t “see” the process behind the scenes, they will go through the extremes to make their assumptions plausible. I’m excited for the upcoming content you’re cooking. Stay the course!

That was a trick to get the developer to respond)))
The game is awesome, and I'm not planning on asking for a refund)

Thanks, I know you can't say anything that would sound official. A couple of weeks sounds great.

It will be ready when it is ready. :-) In the mean time, I have a steam library full of games I haven't even started to play yet, about 35 books that need reading, and, oh, my job. Never mind netflix. Or the wife. (I am trying to ignore the jobs that need doing in the house. Who needs their doors painted anyway?)
