I am softlocked in torment progression

So for Torment 2, you need Acantha and Xochitl, I have Acantha, and I should have Xochitl, but I don't and now I don't know if I can even get it?

Xochitl is aquired by getting two latent orbs from Scarlet Coast. I know I have gotten more than two since I just got the Katar melee weapon that is unlocked after getting three orbs, but I don't have the reward for the second orb.

I genuinely think I am softlocked and can't progress through the torments because of this. If anyone knows how to fix this or get help from the devs somehow, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try hitting those hidden golden chests whenever possible - they randomly drop pages and I actually got the Empress from such a chest before getting a duplicate from the Orb.

One of the patch notes mentions addressing the duplicate issue, though it doesn't specify the page by name. Wiki could be out of date on the actual source of the scroll.

I tried again and I got Xochitl from the orb on Scarlet Coast. It appears the wiki is wrongand that that the rewards are not given in a specific order, but rather drop randomly, or the order is different from what's stated on the wiki.

Found in Veiled Chests across the Scarlet Coast.
Found in locked Supply Chests across Velmorne.

I tried Veiled chests in Scarlet Coast and all I get is gold. Is it true it can be in some locked chest in Velmorne?

Yes, pages can drop from those chests. It is all completey random, but I guess the idea is that if you are opening enough chests to get the pages then you are prepared for the tormets. Just keep opening those chests and eventually you'll get one.


I don't know if this is official or anything, but I **feel** I have better luck when World Corruption is at its highest.

They don't drop from any old chest, you need to open specifically the hidden chests that you can unveil with Gnosis. There usually aren't that many on the map, so it may take a moment.

If the wiki is to believed, Eskja's portrait can only be found in such chests on Velmorne and Scarlet Coast.

remember to use the prism, it shows all chest, included hidden, iirc
