How much content is held back?
I would like to play now, but if the game is close to release and theres alot of story content or something being held back that would be better/require you to play from a fresh save, then I would rather wait.

I read the FAQ and its unclear, seems like this question hasnt been updated in a while.

Anyone with any insight?

If you mostly care for the gameplay then just buy it and start having fun.
They will add more story content with 1.0, i dont care about that because it dosent realy play a role in the Game, but if thats important for you i would wait for 1.0 in a few month.

I restart all the time and start with different builds from lvl 1, if you only wanne play 1 save, then maybe it is also better to wait for 1.0.
I played a bit and now im waiting for full release cause I want the story too
I stopped playing to wait for the story... this always happens with EA for me.. I play the unfinished game in EA, get burnt out and move on and miss any updates...
The major, overarching story isn’t in the game and the final battle against the protagonist doesn’t exist yet. The final version will more than likely include new items to play with along with some surprises. Count for QOL features and updates for the final version. With ~ 40 hours of content (based on your experience) in the current version, the game manages to keep you occupied for the time being with plenty of gameplay challenges and hints to lore. If you’re really good at grinding games and FPS in general, you can easily burn this game out before its final release.
