The home needs some green teleportation portals,I don't want to run from one end to the other anymore.
You know, like the shooting range lacks a weapon box.

Might as well just turn the hermitorium into a series of menus you just tab through and suck all the life out of it while you are at it
for #2。You are the kind of person who always takes extreme positions during normal discussions

That's what some JRPG do.
You call that killing the life, I'd call that adding QOL.
Heck, it's actually way better than OP's idea of adding portals everywhere.

I don't mind having a physical hub in guise of a menu, but the way the hermitorium is agenced is pretty bad for that. Coherent with the story, sure, but quite crap to navigate repeatedly.
I mean, for example : why is the only place you can change your weapons so removed from the place you can test them ?

You could still have the Hermitorium as a physical place to visit and unlock facilities on, and a shortcut menu to access them quickly.
You call it QOL I call it sterile and boring. How about a compromise? When the Preyer gets to the Hermitorium its just one big empty room, and in the middle of it there is a chair with a VR headset on it, a bucket on the side of it to ♥♥♥♥ into, and a bib to stop any drool from getting on their jacket?

Weird hill to die on, really.
What do you have against convenience ?
I don't have anything against convenience, but I am judgemental that someone would require it for what limited amount of travel exists in this games world hub. It's kind of wild to me that a person would be so lazy that they don't even want to walk from place to place in a virtual space while they are already sitting in real life.

If the devs wanted to cater to that they probably wouldn't have added a garden and a bench to the game but who knows, maybe they'll add a menu function in the full release

I'd be really surprised if they do.

But it doesn't change the fact that once you explored it, the hermitorium is basically a menu in which you prepare for your expedition, with your character being a cursor. From a gameplay perspective, it's a bit pointless to have everything taking that much time.

Sure, it's not that long. But it's still unnecessary friction.
Unlimited stamina at the hermitorium would alleviate the issue without having to bring in portals or a pop-up with the facilities.

And since we're talking about it, that garden is also unpractical, not only to navigate, but also to reach. I don't bother recolting whatever is ready mostly because it's a bore to get there, especially with limits so low. If I could get, IDK, 15 units in one go (at the same growth rate than in current version) I'd use it more.

I don't use the target practice incantations because it's too far from the arsenal and I can't change my weapon elsewhere.
I don't use the merchant unless he's beside the altar.
And I don't like having to get back to the gnosis tome when I forgot whatever it was I had to do for the next level.
By the logic you present here going on an expedition is no different, your preyer is just a cursor and the encounters you navigate toward are just menus to interact with. Its all friction, up to and including having to move your mouse to aim at an enemy and having to click a button to shoot them. If the only reason you don't interact with the systems available at the hermitorium is just because you have to walk a bit to get to them I would consider that worthy of judgment
This is a slippery slope for sure. This is how effing auto-shooters became a thing. People couldn't be arsed to click the button to shoot their gun. Or aim it even. Cause Why can't computer do it?

"Quality of Life" in a video game is a misnomer. You are wasting your time by definition playing a video game. You want to be more efficient at wasting time? That makes no sense. And having to haul my arse from the armory to the training grounds makes me think things I put on through a little, not just slap them on randomly.

The expeditions are the actual gameplay.
You have to position yourself, shoot, and so on, while avoiding danger. In other words, there are stakes in what you're doing and how you're doing it during those.

There aren't any stake in the hermitorium once its exploration is done.

a slippery slope ?Are you referring to #2?
Because I only see you guys making trouble。
I seek simple and effective ways to improve quality, but you only engage in polemics and create slippery slopes。
You nitpickers can choose to continue seeking your authenticity by running far away after the game is made more convenient, instead of opposing me here.
Because the developers are famous for wanting to make this game easy for its players. polemics is just a fancy word for people that disagree with you, and it seems like more people do than that agree. Ultimately all that matters is what kind of experience the developers want this game to be. I think based on a lot of context clues already available they are more interested in creating an immersive experience than they are interested in making a 'convenient' experience, but there is still time for them to prove me wrong in this regard
