Got my first Game Crash.
it was on velmore. man that sucks.

Edit:
My PC specs are the following
ryzen 5 5600x
2 stick of 16gb ram
Rx 6600

not really a high spec pc and not really low for the game "witchfire" here, minimum required.
and i did not crank up all settings to very high it's custom with low to some high config and fsr enabled.

and i have not played on VELMORNE since the day i posted this (been grinding iron gate and marshland) and today i played the map and yeah it's been stuttering and freezing from time to time when i'm just roaming and not fighting cuz fighting is no problem at all the effects like lighning and fire combo does not make my fps dips. there is a problem on the map because the other maps played smoothly.

I've never had it crash. however, I never got it to launch to begin with lol
post second to last update I got 2 crashes.
No error, game just freezes
No details, no system specs, no logs.

Useless post.

not quite. Game does inform the user of any locally stored report for this crash afaik.
Maybe event log could be useful, but doubtful. Most critical data is already collected by Astronauts with the EA analytics option in settings.

This is enough to start, should devs need more info, they can ask ppl for more data.
Also, as long as ppl do not opt out, devs collect the "EA analytics" gameplay data by default, which is linked with the account. And guess what- most ppl do not opt out, because they
either:
-did not read
-do not care
-do not know what that is
-all of the above

You wanted to sound smart, turned out quite the opposite.

However, in many cases, your approach is desired. Ppl should provide as much data as possible when reporting issues, and provide additional details asked for by the devs.
So your comment even though silly in this case, still educational. Could however be delivered on a more friendly note, though. Cheers!

Doesn't matter. None of this is in the post.

Has absolutely nothing to do with valuable system/crash info being in this post. This is just a paragraph of obfuscation.

Which is why you admit I'm right at the end of your post...

lmao you typed all this out because you got your panties in a twist over my curt words. What I said was correct. You admit it. "But please have some nicer manners!!!"

Give me a break 🤣

No. I added last paragraph to show others that your general idea is good and worth adopting when reporting issues.
But in this case, devs gather all of this data themselves already...

So, as with everything, logic must be applied. Duplicating data just for the sake of filling the MDS form is silly extra work that is not required in this particular case.
My point stands- you've got correct approach while being obtuse and unpleasant. But that is always better than being wrong and nice & easy going. Hence the nod of approval with a scold for attitude :D
Having problems there too. (7900xtx nitro, I7-13700k, ASUS Prime Z790.) Freezes up until it crashes or blackscreens, but still playing (which can be saved by exiting full screen). Clean install of drivers and disabling the AMD overlay seems to have helped, will test further. (Update) Never mind, still crashing in Velmore.
Game can freeze on Velmorne idk why but it happen 3 times to me since the last update and only on this map
Velmorne is the worst performance map since it was released.
But it was never crashing for me before, jsut stutters (and by saying "just" I do not mean that it is not an issue, it actually made me avoid this map like fire)
I have been playing this game ever since it dropped on steam. never had any problems. Until today. I had my first crash while in the Marshland. Game just froze up and shut down. Fortunately I was able to restart and retrieve my body and loot.
All in all I greatly recommend Witchfire. It is hard. Make no mistake. But fare and as long as the story continues to be engaging worth the time and effort a player put into it.
