The access to the Outskirts vault and the clues to it
Hey, just wanted to check if I'm just stupid or if the crude maps/clues in front of the vault's entrance don't make much sense to you too.

Managed to find all the keystones or whatever it is, except for that one in Marshlands. And in the end I ♥♥♥♥♥'d out and had to look that one up online, because I would never have found it. And either I'm completely dumb (probably:bigjohn:) or that one clue in particular is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Because that would be that last place I'd look for it, LOL. The map being so massive doesn't help either.

Anyway, the vault itself is pretty cool, managed to clear it on 2nd try. :LikeWF:

No, you shouldn’t feel stupid. Most challenges in Witchfire are very much intended. They want you to explore the world, solve complex puzzles, and discover well hidden secrets besides killing abominations creatively. Some folks will complain about these features because they feel it’s wasting their time or feel the mechanics are too difficult and should be made easier. They want to rush through the game and be done with it versus enjoying the sense of exploration and discovery and overcoming difficult challenges through creative experimentation.
I couldnt even find the vault until i looked it up. The hole in the wall to get in you cant even see. I would have found it eventually but i dont have a whole day to spend running around an empty map.

Lol, I found it on my first try because I would always grab the Witchfire chunk inside the dead tree trunk that sits on top of the elevated platforming bit. But this time I noticed the opening pathway they added leading to the vault, which was very obvious to me.

I mean, yeah, that's all fine and well, but this handdrawn clue in particular just seems very misleading to me, I spent way too much time looking in a completely different part of the map, lol. thus the question if I'm stupid, if it's just me, haha. it is a cool puzzle overall.
I actually had no problem finding the crystals. I was finding them before I even read what they were about bc they show up as little dots on the minimap. I had to look up where the vault was - that was the part that was evading me.

I found most of them quite easily too, but as I said, that one in Marshlands....I don't think I'd ever find it on my own, and certainly not because of that clue, LOL.
Found it all by myself, however... If it wasn't for the blog posts or the steam convos, is there something telling you in-game there's a vault in the outskirts to begin with ?

Did I missed it when leveling up gnosis ?

No, it’s a secret Vault. Unless you’ve been following the dev blogs or reading the fan discussions, you wouldn’t know about it otherwise.
