Trainz: A New Era

(More) Realistic Derailments
One thing that I remember from previous Trainz games is the fact that when a train derailed, it slid as it the friction was turned to 0, they would fly off the tracks and you could have some fun with it.... just look up some videos on youtube. With TANE the only derailment I have ever seen is where my train just instantly stops at the end of the track or broken switch and it sits there as if there was a huge mud pit, they dont slide crazily, all the engines and cars just stack in one spot. Is there a way I can get the earlier derailment results? for when I want to have some fun and make a train fly off the tracks or just have some ACTUAL realism when the train derails....

I don't think there is a way to, but there might be a option to somewhere in the various options menus.

It'd be kinda fun to have those slidy trains again. :steammocking:

Exactly!! As much as I love the realism of trainz now, sometimes I get too involved in making the scene perfect and realistic with scenery and straight track and sidings, etc. but then where is the fun of just making a totally random route and screwing around letting the creativity flow. I tried making a ski jump style track but the train just got stuck at the end. :(
