If you press Alt - Enter to go into windowed mode and press Alt there, can you see it?

ALT+ENTER does not work in full screen, I do not think you can get menu in full screen...

I'm not seeing your screenshot. Did you upload it? Right click on the Steam icon by the clock. Select the picture that you want to upload, and hit the upload button. Make sure to set it to "public" on the next screen.

Do you have the option for DX10 Preview enabled? That might be the problem... Disable it.

Huh? On mine, pressing Alt-Enter changes the sim from windowed mode to full screen (or back). I've never seen a FSX installl that didn't work that way. Are you a Mac user?

Yes, alt+enter works but I mean when in full screen, I cannot get menu bar..

I understand that. I'm just trying to determine if pressing Alt by itself gives you the grey FSX menu bar at the top, but I want to see if it works when you try that in windowed mode. We know that it isn't working in full screen.

If you right mouse click on the main window while you are flying, do you see a menu item that says "Hide menu bar"? If so, try clicking that to see if the menu appears. If it does, try Alt to see if you can close it.

DX10 Preview under display options "global options". On or Off?

Just thought of something. Are you sure that your monitor is showing you the top 1/4" or so of the screen? It is possible to have the "overscan" set so that you just can't see the top edge. Try picking a different screen resolution in the display settings.

Also, try hitting the following keys in sequence from inside of a flight (but not the dashes).
<Alt> - w - t
That should open up the time and season dialog box. Just testing to see if the menu is not acitvating, not displaying, or not doing either.
