Really? 100%?
This makes me really sad.
- Threatening modders and promising never to port a game to PC again because of inappropriate mods
- Porting the game with the outdated engine (quite understandable from a business point, because the arcade architecture is much more similar to the PC than the PS4 version... though a free upgrade after some time would've been nice...)
- DLC costumes can't be purchased individually... outrageous DLC prices...
- Online funtions are bare bones on PC.
- Now creating a DoAX3 version for PC, because it's a much wanted game, but it's a browser game version, because they are afraid of modders, because they have "a corporate image to defend"...
yeah, right... looking at DoAX3 and it's bikini malfunction mechanic, there really isn't much of an image left that can be defended... that sh*t isn't too far from being nude...
also their image shouldn't be damaged by modders who alter their games...
just look at Bethesda and their mod friendly games... are they suddenly depicted as sexist scumbags, because modders made nude mods for Skyrim etc.?!
Though in the end I don't know who made the call for the majority of this... Team Ninja (the devs) or Koei Tecmo (the publisher)...

Game devs should always tailor their games towards their target audience and not the general public...
Instead, we are very fragmented.
No one of this forum is really complaining.
No one is going to complain on Reddit.
We are totally alone.
I think it will not be a browser game.

Not a single word like "Browser".
DMM GAMES is the publisher, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja are the developers.

DMM GAMES(PC)
DMM GAMES is like Steam, a place to buy games.
so what you know DMM Games = Steam JP version ? or something like that ?
this is DMM games : http://www.dmm.com/netgame/
their most popular games is kancole (browser game)
most of them is smartphone games
only few pc mmorpg under their license
the important point is that all their games in online-games (eithers apps / pc games)
afaik none offline game
so doa3x will absolutely online too and will try cash-cowing player ...
now you might thinking "Full Game" like PS4/PSV with online match feature
that possible, but look at KT game line up
https://www.gamecity.ne.jp/index.html#online -> they only have 3 online game that on service
https://www.gamecity.ne.jp/catalog_sp.html?name=sp -> around 50 smartphone game
https://www.gamecity.ne.jp/catalog_sp.html?name=pc -> 11 pc browser game
eitherway if you planning to play just prepare paying lots of cash for keep playing, no kidding
but so far people what people saying/rumoring for DOA3X will be likely browser-game / mini games
all of them is browser game
well i am not saying we can expect full game like ps4 ver... but well dont think we can hope much
Yes, it will be also totally online, and, totally different from the PS4 version.
An online game with microtransactions for unlocking characters, clothes, and much more.
Maybe you can see that like Custom Maid Online.
There is no information about the browser platform. This maybe fake information is only on foreign websites.
You guys have this completely wrong. Do you really think Koei Tecmo are tailoring their games to not offend those kinds of people? Just a quick look at their games and DLC should tell you otherwise. They really don't care much about that.
The real reason they care about people modding their games, is because it's competition to their DLC-centric business model. If people are adding their own free modded outfits to the game, they'll be much less inclined to purchase official outfits for a couple dollars each (or in the case of the PC version, bundled in packs at $30+).
This also explains why the PC version of DOA5 is lacking features compared to the consoles. If someone has a choice, they want them to pick the version of the game that locks them into the least moddable environment, encouraging the player to spend more on DLC.
It's also worth noting that KanColle (and probably many other online games there) are region-locked to Japanese IP addresses.
