How do I get gud at Rat Punchout
Beating the rats two stages before that and getting there takes a while, is there anyway I can just practice the punchout over and over without actually getting there in game or receiving awards? Honestly would've preferred a third phase to boss fight, but that's just me.

I haven't beaten the punchout stage yet, but I've been slowly getting better as well as reaching this stage more consistently. The following link I found yesterday, and it is without a doubt, the best youtube video I have yet to come across detailing the three stages of the rat boss, as well as giving tips and strategies for beating it. I am not affiliated with youtube or the youtube person that posted the video (but I think they are amazing for posting such a detailed video). Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZE8HrZN30E

Just FYI, in case someone checks, I don't own the game on Steam. I received it for free on the Epic Games launcher during their two-week giveaway.

Lastly, in answer to your first question, I don't believe there is a shortcut to the third stage of the rat fight. You just have to try several times before memorizing the patterns that work for you.

If you're going to go all-out you may as well load up CheatEngine and slow the game down to ~50% speed

? I assure you I’m just suggesting another option. There’s literally an application called CheatEngine that lets you slow down time in games. Some games are more fun that way (try the Far Cry franchise)

Ok fair. Thanks for clarifying

Without cheating, you do just gotta practice. To be fair though, you can get all unlocks in the game without ever winning the Punch-Out phase. The only thing beating the third phase does is add a pair of boxing gloves hanging from the bunk bed in the Breach.

I want all the keys (or most of them at the very least). And it wouldn't be cheating if I just kept redoing the punchout if there was a mod that could do it, that way I'd be more ready for the real run and it doesn't feel like a 30 minute waste of time. I don't plan on keeping anything from teleporting to punchout, I just want the experience.

You can get all the unlocks from the keys eventually with just the first key off hitting Rat once in Punch-Out. You literally can have 100% completion without ever getting more than that first key. It just might take you a while, since it'll be luck which item you get out of the one chest you get to open. Playing Pilot can help speed this up some, since Trusty Lockpicks can be used on Rat Chests.

A note to the above, the Drill can also be used to unlock one of the rat chests. I saw a youtube video of someone doing this.

You don't understand, I'm trying to 6 key the rat, not just get the unlocks.

Okay. But why? There's no purpose behind it really.

Will modding disable my achievements? I don't plan on cheating any achievements with it.
Mithrix Jul 16, 2019 @ 4:11pm
It doesn’t disable achievements
