I do not understand the hate ?!
Capcom released the game so early because they cant release the game just few days before evo ... the pros need to learn the new stuff too ! And you could just have waited for some reviews if it fits your playstyle or not . For me the mm works extremly well I find matches very frequently and the netcode stabilizes everything pretty well .

Release the hate on me now :steamsalty:

Casuals hate it because it doesnt have boring filler like a complete story mode or arcade mode.

I do wish they would of made a more indepth tutorial/mini character primer to help new people out tho.

But other then that I love the game when the battle lounges aren't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed.

Casual players had certain expectations due to recent MK games and they don't do research. And even if they did, IGN said it's 8.0 so what possibly could be wrong.

I don't get why people play fighting games for the story. Like I really can't wrap my head around how fighting a cpu over and over to get some poopy story content is fun.

I'd rather just fight real people.

User reviews been worthless since 4chan raid on SWTOR was lit by media and people try to turn every release into Tortanic 2.0. Japanese 2ch users like to bomb amazon.jp scores for laughs too.

MK9 had a crazy 10 hour(ish) story mode with ingame cutscenes that was pretty cool and worthy of the price alone.

SF has never in the history of man had a compelling story mode so i dont get it either...

When you don't expect to pour more then few dozens hours into game there is no point of going online. It takes hundreds of hours to become proficient there. And if you think MK story mode is dumb, play CoD campaign, they are literally the same games about pointing cross over and over again to a dummy which pretends to be trying to kill you. At least MK requires you to learn different input combinations to do all those flashy fireballs.

Were you playing on Day 1? Because the MM was pretty terrible for the first few days. It wasn't until yesterday when the MM and connection issues were very minimal for me.

Even the connection issues? Yeah I could connect (with the occassional disconnects too) but just about every other match the opponent would be desync'd and teleporting across the stage.
