Hotplugging / Making PC tournament viable
The one issue SFIV has with controller support is not being able to plug/unplug controllers at will. Skullgirls has this and I know Lab Zero would be willing to help you guys get this feature up and running. It would make the PC platform a viable platform for tournaments.

Please don't just read this and pass, show your support.

This just isn't going to happen. Sony funded the majority of SF5's development and is currently funding a lot of the Capcom Pro Tour. They supported the pc version mainly for countries like South America where they don't have easy access to consoles, and tournaments, at least majors, are gonna stick with PS4s. And this is gonna trickle down to locals too, since it's the standard.
Oh I don't care where the money is, the feature is great for home use as well.

It's an easy thing to have and we should have it regardless.

That being said its our (the community's) choice to just go with PS4 or run PC.

Hell, an event could have both as every PS4 stick will work on PC anyhow.

Oh I'd absolutely love it the feature, I just thought you were talking about more broad tournaments.

That is another issue we can address but only once this feature and Dinput are in place.

They didn't even include PS4 pad support, despite developing a PS4 version of the game also.

DS4 is just direct input. It's all under this umbrella.

PC will never be a viable platform for tournaments, if for no other reason than cost. A PC that can run SFV is gonna cost 2-3x the amount of a PS4, and in a tournament (depending on size) you need to have between 5-30 setups. It just doesn't make financial sense. Not to mention random unforseen hiccups due to running Windows and background processes, physical size and weight, etc. So hotswapping controllers is far from the only thing keeping PC from being tournament viable.

While some of this consists of valid concerns, the part about a PC to run SFV costing 2-3x as much as a PS4 is off. There's already a bunch of footage on YouTube of the game running on machines that cost about as much to build as a PS4 costs to buy.

Cool, we can have this debate live on twitch for all the fellow nerds to watch after they implement this sorely lacking feature.

i'd like this feature. i don't own a ps4, only a PC so when my friends come over to try SF5, it would be much easier.
Thank you! Each voice matters!

Probably not. PC is a better and far cheaper platform. Venues that aren't sponsored by SONY or don't have thousands of dollars worth of PS4s hanging around will use PCs because it makes more sense. It isn't like PS4 has any special feature not on PC. . .

Watching WNF being played on PC right now... seems pretty viable

Cost yeah at least double what a PS4 is... but Windows OS, size and power no way. You can have a bare bones windows installed and it'd be flawless. PC Power enough to run the game...hogwash my PC is way powerfull enough to run the game at max settings. And size... this is my PC sitting on top of my Xbox One http://i.imgur.com/isojQZp.jpg

First of all this is wrong, PCs are cheaper, but more importantly multi-platform. So a lan center with machines for Counter Strike and league, for example, can use them for SFV instead of having to drop 3 grand on PS4s.
