What can i do against balrog
I still think he is extremely OP. Nothing of my moves (I use guile) can be as reversal to his moves. He can come through fireballs, he has armor moves, he can chain ultra without charging, and most of the time i don't know where he is going to hit....

I main Karin. The strategy I use for Balrog is to attack when he is not in a charging position, and keep just enough distance for him to over reach with his normals.

Karin doesn't have the means to instant punish after his punching specials, so there's a bunch of blocking, neutral jumps, and waiting for an opening.

well, basically he can be in charging position any time (just like guile) so no way to be sure unless he is standing still without guarding my hits (very rare of course), what do you mean? He also does not throw fireball so jump-ins are pretty much impossible. I also can't bait with anything (as I would bait a fireball or a jump or a shoryuken/ex reversal) because even if I do I could not punish.....

Neither of them can charge a B>F move when moving forward.

Jump-ins are possible, you have to allow them to overcommit when he's expecting you to be on the ground. That requires you to train your opponent to assume you won't jump.

Hope the enemy Balrog sucks. Fish for his charging punches with quick low attacks, his offense is prone to jabs and reversals but if you get punished pressing buttons on wakeup expecting him to dash, overhead, etc. then you get punished hard

Stay calm and watch for overheads and lows to block properly, a lot of his moves are punishable after luckily

You can do nothing.
He just does too much damage.
Is his dash punch invincible or armored? I don't have balrog so I can't pratice but does anyone know if throwing a sonic boom followed by a bazooka knee works against it, I was too scared to experiment in a real match.

it took me one match against Alex to realize i was wasting my time with this cash grab.
It's sad that half of the DLC characters are OP, and by that I mean Rog, Guile and Urien.

Though it won't take long before someone will come in and say "omg these are not op you git gud"

Heh heh, poor alex is low tier, fam, laura is way cheaper than any of the dlc characters.

How is guile OP...even if you mix v trigger and full critical you get about 550 damage with a good combo. Take damage from the vtrigger of balrog alone, or even 3 ex bars....and you see yourself with 20% of health left with some button mashing
Guile, Urien, Balrog, Laura, Cammy, top 5.
