but seriousy, I have had some issues with this before, not because I shouldn't have had blown out tires, but because the wrongs ones did.
I 've had times where I've slid off the track and hit a tree hard on my right rear, which I would imagine would flat that tire.
But nope, my front left blew out instead.
I've had a lot of similar issues with the damage model for tires acting very strange.
Fell into a ditch on finland extremely hard on my left side, but my RR tire blew out instead even that that was suspended in air the entire time I slid into the ditch, and remained in the air after I stopped moving.
I haven't had any mysterious flats that I can remember, but I've definately had frustrating issues with the damage model.
Just now I hit one of those banners with metal poles, just to the right of center. I expected serious radiator damage. But I got "is that a left rear puncture?" This was in Sweden, it was my first collision, and what few bumps there were in this stage I really didn't take quickly enough to go flying.
After that stage *and* the next, turns out my radiator was still at 96%. Wheels were 86% though.
Because there is really nothing wrong with the tyres. Adjust the suspension and the dampers and everything is fine.
And what about daily stages that prevent you from changing the setup? or do you just skip those? :P
I just lost a right front tire near the end of Hamra after taking jumps painfully slowly so I don't leave the ground. While I did hit snowbanks a couple of times, none of those was particularly major. It didn't go flat first, it just dropped straight to the rim. This is in the Polo with default settings, but honestly I don't expect messing with the setup really should make that much difference if I'm not bouncing hard in the first place.
I just to them, because I know the default setup is bugged anyway. Until patch 1.1 in April.
Polo is a special kind of car. Took my 6+ hours to perfectionate the dampers and suspension. No flatties anymore. xD I believe the Polo is bugged, or the suspension can't handle the speed.
What car? Your probably damaging them at some point earlier and finally they let go.
I mean their practically balloons... Riding kerbs, excessive braking and harsh cornering will damage tyres. Careful riding kerbs, dont brake excessively and dont corner aggressively OR take the risk/hit. I fail to see the issue.
I don't really have anything against Ivy, but even when given proof to the contrary he still refuses to admit he's wrong.
accelerated freefall... those tyres are getting hammered - ass end slamming down all over the shop...
