Rn im on my secound own created map :)
As i understood, now you can create only a template, not an static map. PVE skirmish/scenarios are fixed maps.
As i said if theres interest i would upload it.
- How do you create maps for the demo?
- When are you uploading the freaking map?
-U need to code the json file .
-I uploaded it already, scroll up to my first post :)
perhaps its restricted. unknown :)
Ok i got a better version of my Map now!
I changed the download link to the New Map!
Map looked too empty for me :D
34,12,Harkonnen Devastator, Guard
It's a very VERY low resource map. I scouted the starting area just to find a couple of resource stacks free to pick and nothing else, all the fights were hard so I had to choose carefully which one to take to avoid high loses. The fact that lots of them had ranged fighters didn't help. In the end I had to rely on enacting the economy laws to start building an economy. There wasn't much else there in the starting area, other than lots of dwelling buildings, and just a wood and stone mines for economy.
With spells, I could watch the neighbour AI also kinda struggling with its development.
In the end it became a grindfest of circling around my zone recruiting every unit I could afford until I had anough to face the guardians and break out.
The next area was pretty similar to the starting one, only with just one town and a way larger area, with lots of empty spaces. When I broke out into the middle area and it was pretty much desolate, a huge chunk of the map with nothing really to grab. I could just use all my movement finding nothing of interest (stat buffing building, towns, big artifacts..)
Nearing month 5, I've eliminated the neighbour AI and on my way to eliminate the necro AI, who, so far, has been the only one who made it into the middle area.
In the end, the map is way too big for the so little resources and things to do, I didn't bother looking for the gold mines, since right now I'm just clearing the AIs and don't need the extra gold.
I really like the idea of having extra strong guards, although I'd say it'd be better if those were the guards guarding the middle, and the middle was actually worth the fight, right now, it's not, although that would make it similar to original Jebus Cross from H3. The hero limit really hurts, specially in the beggining. Once you break out, it's mostly irrelevant having a max of 3 heroes.
Other than that, I'd say the map needs a lot more resources lying around, different buildings, and richer zones. It honestly feels really empty and poor.
