Early Access Review
Even in EA, I'm enjoying this game. It's repetitive in many ways, but I'm sure some of that will be remedied with later updates. I like the overall concept. I've only gotten two ladies to the bedroom so far, but getting to that point didn't seem too hard, though I did run into some issues with a couple other girls, so it's not like getting the girls to the bedroom is always easy. One of the girls demands a different house, and the house app says its still under construction, but I'm hopeful the next update will fix that.
The game crashed on me once, and crashed so bad, I couldn't even restart the computer gracefully. Had to hold down the power key until the computer died. Then started everything back up. The game had saved my progress, so that was cool.
Right before the crash, I was seeing some buffering issues. I wonder if a memory leak might have been the culprit. If this bug continues to happen even after the next update, I'll consider exiting the game every so often and restarting it, which would clear a memory issue, if that's indeed what was wrong.
Other than the crash and the repetitiveness I've mentioned, I don't have anything else to complain about. Okay, maybe one thing. There's a mini-game where you do a photoshoot of a girl. The scrolling feature of the mouse is used to zoom in and out. That's cool, except the zoom on my mouse is defective, which makes it difficult to do the zooming correctly. It would be nice if an alternative to the scroll was provided, such as maybe the up and down arrows.
Other than those three things, I'm satisfied with my purchase, especially since I got the game on sale. I can see where the game is headed, and I'm excited to see the updates that will make the experience even better than it already is.
