Out of interest, who is finding it too easy, and who's finding it too hard?
I'd definitely like to see more classes. i.e. a mage would have the flamethrower by default (but weaker), an archer with weaker single arrows, something along those lines.
One thing I would love to see is a more fleshed out shop. Perhaps add in a way to buy items in packs? For example, you could buy a magical gauntlet for 15 coins, or if you wanted 3, you could buy it at a price of 50.
An endless mode would definately be great. You could remove boss battles, and as a way of making it to another floor, go by multiples of 10.
Extra floors could also add some more fun, and with increasing difficulty/ size per floor it would take care of people who think the game is too easy. I personally think the progression of difficulty doesn't need any tweaking at the moment, though with any updates that might change.
I also like Arksun's idea for classes, but would go further to suggest that maybe they'd have boosts/limitatios on certain stats. E.g. rogue with faster attack speed but weaker attack (like the darts, but with a more limited range and not quite as drastic an attack speed bost) with a higher base movement speed that has a lower cap for attack strength and health.
Having a blast with the game thus far (I have to say I'm a fan of the arcade-style games), and trying to rope a friend into playing co-op. I'd say that for a few more floors + items as DLC I'd be willing to pay extra, but not sure about how other players feel about that.
I'd like to build on this and suggest something like gamble rooms or reward rooms - gamble rooms where you could wager your gold against certain limitations (time limit, kill limit, stat limit) and be awarded double your wager if you complete a certain number of waves and reward rooms being rooms where money chests spawn at a higher rate or where enemies drop gold more often. Something to reward players for playing well or just plain surviving for long periods.
- survival mode : just one room with infinite enemies and a time counter to see how much time the player can last .
- hard mode : add some speed to enemies or something to make it a little harder and also only allow to start from the 1st floor .
some other little things :
- allow me to pause in the bonus levels : idk if is possible atm , i just cant pause there for some reason
- better descriptions for the achievements , some of them dont even have one
*More weapon types and maybe weapon modifier upgrades (seeking, explosive, pass-through, range, etc)
*More power-up types (I've put over 60 hours into Binding of Issac because there's always something new to find. I feel like I've maxed this game out in 6.)
*Something for the points to do once the unlocks are exhausted.
*More levels
*Ability to skip bonus levels (sometimes I just don't need or want the cash or health)
*Golden powerups in levels, rather than just in stores.
*Make the robots that spawn when you take too long beatable in such a way that when you've beated the game and powered up your character enough you can take them all out and have something special happen when you do.
Game has only one life and my friends can't enjoy the game. Neither do I. I'm not pro, I just want to chill out to arcade-game.
Suggestions for future updates:
Ability to pause or exit game from bonus levels.
The coins in the bonus levels feel a bit weak when you consider that you can get far, far more in the catacombs or graveyard. I might suggest bumping up all copper to silver, and all silver to gold. imo the bonus levels are fun, but feel like quite a bit of work for low pay-off.
"kid friendly" mode with easier gameplay and low/no gore might be worth considering, as would be a hardcore mode with greater difficulty
I'd love to see a mode that spawns all enemies at either spawners or doorways, instead of dropping them randomly into the level. That design decision felt odd to me at first, but after time I've become used to it and I think it actually works very well.
Character level should be displayed at all times.
Cost to improve via purchased gold items should go up a bit with each successive improvement.
Possible option to turn off friendly fire (or perhaps a feature of hardcore mode).
Great game! My family is loving it.
Current difficulty level feels spot on for "Normal" fwiw.
This. So much. I would LOVE to be able to crawl every floor before hitting a boss room. Maybe even get an uber-reward for doing so as a reward.
