The most common complaint we received was the inability to use all your cool items while carrying stuff. So we went back to the drawing board (as we usually do) and rethought our game design.

BEHOLD!

Yes! You can now use all your items and store your stuff! We hope this makes exploring the world more fun. Please give us your feedback on this change.

Here are the patch notes:

• Items can now be switched even while carrying stuff.

• Added a drowning animation.

• Added more NPCs to help new players get started.

• Short tutorial text after buying items from the shop in Schnitzelville.

• New shader for the decoration in Schnitzelville.

• The game will now correctly display your unlocked merge recipes after a game restart.

• The cursor will stay hidden when answering a question while using a controller.

• Some vinyl pieces would fall through the level geometry.

• Speed shoes are now slower underwater to prevent a sequence break.

As mentioned in the last patch notes, we have a sales goal so that we as a company can keep going and create a free one-hour content update.

A new update just went live! This is the content:

• Auto-Rotating Camera: The camera will now automatically rotate behind the player when using a controller. This can be turned off in the settings.

• Invert camera axes: You can now invert the X and Y axes of the camera (I wish Mario Sunshine had this)

• Added a bloom toggle: A player had issues with the game's brightness, so we added it to the settings menu.

• All catnip crystals are now collectable without the need to restart the game.

• On some systems, Chipflake refuses to leave the house after the cutscene. We still don't know what his problem is, but while we continue the search for the cause, we added a teleport workaround.

• Smoothed the snapping of the camera when using the speed shoes.

• Closing windows with a controller won't place the currently held item anymore.

• Some tasks won't get checked after completing them. We fixed some and are looking out for more!

• Added a box to a dead end in Schnitzelville

• Fixed some items that refused to respawn.

First of all, we want to thank everyone who took the time to play the game and write a review!

To be honest, we have a sales goal that we need to hit to continue our studio. If we can't hit it by the end of February, we have to close down; that's just the reality of indie games. BUT if we hit that goal, we will release a FREE content update, adding around 1 hour of extra content!

We are currently at 53% of that goal, and we're going to inform you regularly about the current status. So please, if you like the game AND free stuff, please share it with your friends and show it to your favorite content creator!

We're currently implementing many of your feature requests, so look out for the following:

• A fast travel system: This is a high priority, and we're currently prototyping it! And yes, you can fast travel WITH your items!

• Make navigating Schnitzelville easier: We will add more objects to make important stuff in Schnitzelville more visible. So even new players will see where the important locations are!

• More quality of life stuff: We're looking into adding a camera sensitivity slider and more graphical options!

• Translation in other languages: We're actively looking for volunteers who would like to translate the game into their native language. If you're interested, please join our Discord and use "@Dev-Team" in one of the channels to get in contact with us!

We're also thinking about expanding the Made in Chipflake minigame and maybe even adding some more mini golf courses. But we would like to ask you if you are interested in that!
