Voice acting is quite expensive. I guess they did not feel the need to do it for this game. It's already been out in china and korea for over a year.

That's what gives me hope though, they apparently deemed it enough effort to dub the entire thing into Japanese.

I might be totally wrong but i thought the game had Japanese voices even when it launched in China as an option to choose.

It is possible that they were planning on doing English Dub but then the SAG-AFTRA thing happened which caused them to decide not to, at least for the moment.

Atlus did this before with Persona Q 2 as it was only with Japanese dubs and English Subs

I also found it outrageous. I've been playing Persona since the PlayStation 2 era, and every game in the franchise has always had English voice acting. Money is neither an issue nor an excuse, since all previous titles have included English voices. I sincerely hope they add this option for us on Steam. If there's any kind of community feedback form or survey, we should definitely let them know that we want this feature added to the game.

Because the entire franchise is from Japan and Japan is a gigantic gacha market? The entirety of the west doesn't even come close to the spending of a single country.

the only thing that comes to mind is SAG strike because it makes sense if they did do a eng dub we would see in like roughly 4-8 months highly if because I don't see it happening

I know jp is insanely more popular with the other regions, if global doesn't spend enough they probably won't bother. Atlus probably has analytics for their newer titles and decided to just save costs and not include it since most jrpg players go eng subs anyway

Persona 5/Royal has awesome english VA, so there should've been no reason why P5X has none.
