DLC Story order
So I used to play ESO when it came out, and quit playing after about 100 hours in.
Now I bought it on Steam since its a great sale atm with all DLC chapters included.

I'm a sucker for the ES stories so if possible I'd like to play the game in such a way the story makes sense. Does it matter in which order I play through the DLC's? And if so, how goes?

Thanks in advance :)

The colours in the beginning that you follow depend on your alliance your character belongs to.

The weird thing is that the whole story in every quest is active at once, so if one does not follow an external guide it´s easier than not to stumble on the end of the story before even playing the beginning.

Having done that, I would have preferred to be limited just to the story of "my alliance" in order. As of now, there really is no feeling of being in one alliance or another. It would also raise the replay value to have to play it three times to get the full picture.

Yeah a bit of guidance and locking stuff would be way better for newcomers. I was seriously lost too when I started out.

But I assume ZOS wants that people can play with their friends 10 seconds after they bought the game and locking stuff out goes against that. The fact that they didn't redo the main quest is very jarring too. You walk out the the harbourage with the guy saying 'i am going to think about this for a long time now' and as soon as you walk out the door he appears again with 'I am now ready, come back'

As a new player without knowing the history of the game this all can be confusing. Even finding out that is 'main quest' is not obvious.
I really wish they allowed you to pick the way you wanted to play at the start.

A "Free-play" mode that works the way it does now and a "Story" mode that goes in order.

Sort-off offtopic, but here on Steam I see base game (5$ on sale) and a full bundle (~16 dollars) what promises all DLCs up to recent Necrom. Ok. But... I don't see no DLCs for purchase aside on Necrom. It's impossible to buy separately, or the older once are a part of standard edition now?

Older chapter DLCs can be purchased individually, but ONLY through the in-game Crown Store. It's not cost-effective to get more than one or two that way.

There are also non-chapter DLCs, which can only be purchased in the Crown Store.

How complicated... Thanks for the explanation.

Does it worth buying the full edition, content-wise? Also, does the game itself feel like Morrowind/Skyrim really?
