TIPS to keep healthy your relationships and AVOID CORPS ATTACKS
**You are welcome to extend the post if you have new tips to add!**

Losing reputation daily, comes from building a corporation building that is rival of another corp that you have the Diplomacy technology developed with. So:
If you build the Eco Corp. building and you have Diplomacy tech developed with the Industrials, you will have a reputation penalty.

  1. Try to delay to the max to build 2 rival Corps in your colony. Ideally after you have well developed your Diplomacy technology and a Monument built.

  2. If you need very much a Core Doc of a color that you don't have the Corp building (to avoid the diplomacy penalty), you can Reverse Engineer (from any Corp building) a Core Invention Doc and transform it into the Core Doc color that you prefer.

  3. If you need influence of a color that you don't have the Corp building built, you can craft it from any other (if you have enough Diplomacy Tech). Crafting it from a friendly Corp will cost less than from a rival.

  4. Consider using compatible profiles instead of ideal, if you can craft better the influence they will need to be promoted.

  5. If you raise enough your relationship with a Corp, they will send you special colonists.

  6. A good way to know the exact diplomacy penalty effects is to check the Technology Panel and hovering your mouse on the Diplomacy and Relationship techs.

And as a summary
  • In the Govern Panel (Key 0) / Relationships you can trade influence for reputation and vice-versa. Let's say you have the Eco Corp building built, it will let you craft Green Influence, and once you have 1 green influence, you can trade it for 2 reputation points with the Ecos.

  • You will need influence also to purchase some special items in the market, to promote Eco's profiles: farmer, artisan, recycler; to recruit senior or higher ranks of a corp, etc.

  • As said above and continuing with the Ecos... You can also craft influence in the Eco Corp to any other color (with the proper technology level), but it will cost more or less depending on the ideology distance between the corps. The most expensive to craft from Eco is Industrial (yellow) influence.

  • You can see the relationship among corps by hovering mouse on the info icon (a blue i) in the top-right corner of the Relationships panel.

Then, there is the Vital Reserve, which is neutral to all the Corps.
They use white influence and you can craft it from any Corp building. White influence is used mostly to level up your colony and also to recruit senior or higher ranks of a random profile.

  • You can also improve your reputation via quests.

And losing reputation, comes mostly from building a corporation building that is rival of another corp that you have the Diplomacy technology developed with. So:
If you build the Eco Corp. building and you have Diplomacy tech developed with the Industrials, you will have a reputation penalty.

Hmmm. This makes me think it would be best to have two corps that are neutral to each other. Neo Industrials and Cosmos or Eco and Conservatives. This gives direct or friendly access to all influence types. There seems to be no advantage at all to having 2 friendly corps. It feels like there should be one.

Suggestion to the devs: Give a friendly corp daily rep as a synergy bonus. Dependent on Diplo tech 0.0/day on lvl 1 up to 0.25/day on lvl 6. Having Eco diplo tech >=2 would give cosmos rep if cosmos diplo is at least lvl 1. This would make it possible to have all corps at the same time on positive rep/day. (0.25 from synergy + 2 * 0.25 for two monuments - 0.50 from rival building)

Question: The wiki says you can build 2 Corp buildings at diplo lvl 6. Does doing that double the penalty? That would mean you should probably not do that...

Regarding special Chars: Do those Chars disappear if you don't take them quickly? That would be bad. The Colony might not be ready for a super at the time it is offered. Or do those chars have lower expectations?

Yes, it doubles the penalty.

They will be at cryo room for 5 days (as the other colonists). But, they may or may not have a special skill that lower their morale demands.

The problem i'm finding (I'm at level 5 colony with 110 colonists) is that even with lots of researchers working full time, i have a very hard time getting the core invention document (no color) and i need those to get any more tek. I even need those to get a core invention colored document of the other 2 factions that i haven't developped diplomacy with (The cosmos and Neo industrial).

And i need the 1 x green document each time i plant a fruit/vegetable/cereal. In fact, the green faction seems to be using their documents much faster than any other faction (I dont build ships and ships devices very often (Magenta document), i dont need to build medicine that much either (Blue document) and once you built up your reactor components (Yellow document) you are done! But growing food? You are never done doing that. In fact, you do it more and more as you get more colonists!

So i'm in the situation where i desperately need core invention document (no color) so what i'm thinking of doing is opening up the diplomacy with the blue faction and cranking out core invention blue documents by the boatload so i can transform them into core invention doc which i need so much.

It will scrap my reputation with the magenta and blue factions but i don't care, they can't invade me and i don't really need anything from them anyway! Unless i want to play for another 1000 hours at full speed waiting for core invention docs to pop once in a blue moon which is more boring than watching paint dry. :fscared:

Boost your research by:

1. Super computers all around.

2. Each time you level up, you get a boost for 4 days that will greatly increase your % to obtain invention docs of any kind. Push your labs and corp buildings for that period (Hover mouse on the toppanel-science icon and you see).

I loved this game.
But this concept killed my fun.
It causes way too long waiting times for documents, in which you can do nothing but starring onto your screen, waiting for the possibility to rise energy, maintenance, moral or comfort.

I hope they find a way to reduce these waiting times.

But... conflict is needed, isn't it? If you want a "creative" mode, you can just disable the social threats and diplomacy wont have effect on your colonists.
