Church artifact

I can't find out where to place the church artefact. I googled it and didn't find a solution except I think I'm supposed to place it on the altar? I returned to the church. Father whatshisname is in front of the altar so I can't get to it. He just stands there, every day, I can't talk to him. Is it not supposed to be placed on the altar? Where am I supposed to put it? The quest just says "return the artefact to the church".

If the Father is there, then you are not in the church. That is the community centre. You need to find the church and place the item there.

If the Father is there, then you are not in the church. That is the community centre. You need to find the church and place the item there.

I think MadBone12 means the church is behind the community center. The church is the building with the bell tower on the roof. There is a sign out front.

Exit the front door of the community center, turn right, walk to the snow covered side road, turn right, walk past the outdoor market place, keep walking until you see a building on a small hill to your left.
