The Eye and other monsters suggestion and example mechanics for them
hello devs and thank you for this lovely game
i just have a small idea for the eye

i know it will be some kinda boss someday and i think i have a nice mechanic for it

it could be seen onyly on more than 50% terror and when you reach 75% terror a tentacle spawn a passive one but when you kill it a 3 bigger ones spawn in triangle formation and will attack ship
after downing them one tentacle will catch ship and boss will emerge from sea
ship will be relased from tentacle and a desperate massures will be activated on ship 50% faster firing solution
ship will be on small pond on his head so you can onyly rotate a tentacles will spawn around pond and a weak points behind them occasonaly tentacles will shot fluids or something like that when to many fluids will hit you have to use fuel to get rid of them also damaging ship but you can shoot on projectiles too so they dont hit ship
after downing all those weak spots boss will dive underwater and dissapear you ship get buff that reduce terror to 0 and for 30min no terror gain and buff making boss imposible to find again for 2h or so also first time defeating boss will reward a trophy that will have special slot on ship
full boss battle and killing would be on expansion with zubmarines
for boss full body i suggest a mutated octopuslike flounder

also got an idea for Midnight Whale
why not make whale hunting in zee ;p
it could be like 3 whales swimming close to eachouther and when you get close to them you get an ability to use harpoon and get one on chain
it will move your ship on the zee turning it etc
and 2 other whales will be on your back one will attack from above ramming ship and one will be all time underwater ramming as the one above
you can kill onyly 2 whales max from pack the one on back and one chained if you take too long they will sink your ship the same if you lose all harpoons then you screwd ;p after killing one chained those 2 will go passive underwater and dissapear or onyly one will dissapear based on how many you kill ;p

after that a buff could appear like good hunting for 15 20min so you cant find new whale packs ;p also on place where you killed last whale will be pool of blood for short period of time atracting bound sharks they are easy to kill but in packs they can be deadly

got some more ideas
like giant spiral wriggling shell
that you can shoot so it will go away but when you get close to it insta dead a giant clamp will smash your ship
hoever if you got strange catch you can make a gigantic lobster emerge from the sea that will shoot bubbles on your ship and try to clamp you if not killed fast will just go underwater and leave ;p
but when you kill it and swim to shell you get some story like you found a cave full of blemingtons or something like that where you have a chance to get mascot blemington just saying ;p

a funny encounter that could be rare spawn close to tropic like islands
a big yellow duck that will be a zubmarine
it will shot torpedoes at your ship and will be mostly underwater and will swim fast
it could drop a special engine part ;p

and this one is huge story to make

a sea of mirrors
where the water will be crystal white
before entering there it will be hidden in mist and you cant enter it
you have to make storyline to get there
first for example you have to kill gigantic lobster that i wrote about before and have a luck finding a wreckage old forgotten galleon crashed in shell where you will find a strange old map
you will have to swim all across sea to learn what is on that map
fallen london far khanate where you have to be +2 at least rep with them then to find sage in avid horizon who tell you to kill mt nomad then port cecil and kill lorn fluke then to ragged crow where you learn that the lighthouse there that attracting those moth have other purposes but the one you looking for has become madman and is residing in iron republic
there you have some lore and storyline to kill glorious frigate and with this madman you return to raged crow where this person activate a conduct on lighthouse and this map you have was not a map for sea of mirror but an old schematic for machine that will make your ship swim in mist the mist there will be berly visible after that but will be here
and lighthouse will have a special ledlike glowing that will activate a second lighthouse in sea of mirrors
about the sea
crystal white zee and mist there you can find crystal crabs a regular enemy and crystal butterfly colorful like flying fishes
but most imporantly
there will be a cumulated weather fenomen and a spot inside it that when you shot on it a message appear that you have found a crystal mirror after smashing it a long forgotten major enemy appear like lorn fluke mt nomad glorius frigate dunno behemustashe if its a bosslike
but they will have more hp the same tactic and skills but other name like mt nomad will be mt akuba and will be white crystal one lorn fluke will be deep sea urchin or forgotten one and will be silver glorius frigate will be gloving silver too
but major boss battle and rare too will be 2 other
crystal squid that can shot toxin in front line
and mirror image of your ship with the same stats like yours but full crew full hull
this sea will be a monster farm sea onyly for high end ships

+ you can make there a crystal ruins or mirrage island port with that lighthouse
ruins could be a lore and storyline place like ghost town a mirrored from of surface city ;p

im sure that you guys think about it already but i write anyways
why not to make a lairs on the zee
for example zee bats lair
a hollow rock that have huge amount of hp and it spawning zee bats each time you hit it and occasonaly spawning them when engaged after destroying it and coming close you have a short story like something awaits you
if you get lucky you can have a bat mascot

it could be a nice skin for other god for salt the eye? i stick to tentacled flounder like monster
for mechanics it could do water waves and sonic screeams and if get to close simply smash ship also it could do whirlpools and misty weather phenomeon making your ship harder to swim between whirlpools and his normal attack
the same as with salt the eye? you have to be more than 50terror to find shooting at him will make it aggresive onyly above 90 terror all shots gain 10 terror after engaging a fight desperate measures will activate on ship the same things will hapen like i wrote about salt buffs etc

Bloodsuckers
that will randomly spawn in open sea when you are above 60% terror and will swim fast to your ship if not killed
bloodsucker will get attached on ship and you have to spend 1-3 fuels luck check to get rid of it but no reward for killing killing could reward unprocessed mass killing blodsucker in wild not by luck check will also reduce terror by 10

UterPSNshrooms
close to uttershroom could be some smaller shrooms
that shooting slow spores at ship when its on range easy to evade but if you get t oclose there will be swarm of those spores not many hp just a mere annoyance to avoid while swimming at some islands mostly uttershroom

UterSpider
close to islands with weebs
it could be like water striders cuz normal spiders skin or mutated one meh would be nicer
a water strider kind one
for mechanics it can shots webs that will slow down your ship so you have to use fuel to get rid of weebs also damaging your ship 1 web slowing engine by 1 so if you get 2 webs you stay in place but if you kill spider the webs will melt by themself with a message after some hours you finaly got rid of all those nasty webs

About weather fenomens that coming to sunless sea
misty weather

Ghost ship rare spawn would be nice boss like fight
it culd be on misty weather phenomen rare spawn
he could be looking as galeon steampunk one or normal
its firing solution can be mostly side canons so if you try to manewre he will shot many cannons at once most likely sinking you

a zap ball zubmarine rare spawn
a zubmarine that swim fast and can zap your ship if you on range

a bloody droplets weather phenomen

as a lore it could say that something from celling is eating thats why bloody droplets are falling from the sky
it could make sharks spawn on that time cuz they attracted to blood or rare vampire zee bat bigger faster deadlier no ranged attack but when it attack you lose 3-6 crew members

not a monster or anything but you can make bigger space between islands making bigger unterzee cuz i have a feling that it may be ovepopulated when neutral ships start to spawn or more monsters will be added and it could be more realistic also you can rise selling items prices as a recompensate for longer swimm time ;p

75% Terror doesn't leave you much leeway. If you have a terrifying battle with
a monster, with that much terror, too far out at sea. You'd be lucky to make it
back to port.

terror gain is different on battle that why desperate measures will be activated and you wont gain terror for battle and its high end battle so you know with crapy ship you die almost instant ;p
and about terror if you succes it will reset terror to 0 and for 30min no terror gain so you can easyly sail back ;p and to get 75 after finding eye with more than 50terror you gain it just staying close to it as normal you do ;p also you can run insane anyways if you take too long to kill all tentacles ;p but if you kill them even with 99terror is fine is onyly 2 ways to go killing boss or die trying ;p
