Who has returned to Pigmote?
How did you get on with the new stories there? We'd love to hear your feedback. :)

My playthrough was short but interesting. I know that there is more to do here that I haven't done yet such as taking the rats to London. I feel like that would definately have a consequence of some sort. In my game I had already sided with the Cavies instead of the Rats.
First, I smuggled some fuel into the ghetto. Then I talked the Cavies into working with the Rats. And I smelled revolution before I stepped on the dock. Haven't done that bit yet either. I have yet to see the outcome of those actions, but I'm loving what I've seen so far. I was actually hoping to see more to the storyline. It always felt like just a refuel station to me, like there was definately more to be had there. Now, there totally is.

I'd love to hear a few other stories since I feel like I may have only grazed the Pigmote story.

P.S. I'll always want new stories for Sunless Sea. They always make my day.

I ended up giving the rats the protection of Visage, which ended up giving me a way to purchase secrets a little more cheaply than normal at Irem. It felt kind of like an abrupt ending, though - for all the work I did raising their spirit, it would have been nice to get some sort of tiny rebellion option, even if you didn't go for independence. Either way, though, great new story addition!

I sided with the rats, focused on getting Murinia a lot of Might, and advocated independence later, which paid off. Now the rodents throw me tiny, adorable banquets whenever I get there. I wish reuniting rats and cavies after independence was proclaimed could allow you to resupply in fuel, but that's just me being soft. Great addition !

I had the rats side with the Fathomking. I figure if even the Visagers who go to the Fathomking hold arent protected from his Complexity, then surely Visage cant protect Murinia if his Complexity wanted Murinia.
Now I can buy drowning pearls from the Fathomking ambassador for 100 echos. But the rats had to give up their blue scintilack so they were a little upset by that. small price to pay for security I had thought but so far the option to simply give them one of my extra lumps of blue scintillack has not come up like I had hoped.

What I'm really curious about is if I already was far enough along in the Aestival kingdom storyline can I offer them the protection of the lordship of Aestival? I've not done anything with the developing your own kingdom ambition yet, but I figure by the time your ready to protect another island you've probably already completed the ambition and started a new captain.

I might have accidentally gotten the fuzzy buggers all killed. Whoopsie.

I made the cavies work with the rats and pushed them to indipendence. A war between the rats and cavies against soldiers from Visage and from His Complexity the Fathomking broke out.

They weren't prepared.

Needless to say, I picked some scintillack from their dead bodies the nect time I went there. They're not gonna use it anymore, now.

It was a good story. I can't wait 'till my captain dies so I can see more of Pigmote Island!

Poor rodents. I doomed them, too.

For the record, successfully declaring independence nets you several lumps of blue scintillack.

SEVERAL?? or do you mean just regular scintillack?

Expecting a nice banquet to lower terror and net some supplies, I zailed into Pigmote as usual. I then discovered that they had decided to try out this whole "nation" thing. I tried helping them, but still left with scant supplies and a mounting terror. That new(?) high terror music was great though. Almost went insane as I limped to London. :Owl:
