Glyph and Trove keeps crashing after lauchup
I'm really in need of help. I cant play trove because the client keeps crashing 10 seconds after I lauch trove on steam. If anybody can help me it would be very greatly appreciated. Thx

Glyph was updated to a new version[] to resolve these previous issues. If you didn't play Trove for a while, and missed the incremental update, you can delete Glyph from your computer completely (including the light version installed by Steam) and install the new version.

Once you install the new Glyph, this problem will go away. Sorry for the trouble!

If you delete any Glyph files on your PC you should be prompted to update the next time you launch the game.

For the best/safest fix, you can uninstall Trove and associated files, then download from Steam again. Just make sure, if you do that, to check to confirm all Glyph files are gone before trying to install again.

Crashed on startup for me since 2016 nukka
I've had this problem for the 2-3 months since I've been playing. If you restart the Glyph launcher and there's an update available, it /will not let you play/ unless you let it update first, so it doesn't seem to me like that's the issue. "Update the game" is a good first step for troubleshooting, but it does not help. And if it crashes several times in the course of one day, either it's not due to updating or there's several updates a day being released, which seems unlikely, to say the least.

Also, "reinstall the game?" (Yes, I've tried this before). Do a reinstall every day or so to fix an issue which is not my end? I have to (cynically) wonder if Patron players have the same issue.

The only thing I can add to the discussion is that it seems to happen only (or at least most frequently) when I travel between worlds. There doesn't seem to be any predictability or pattern: it can happen after playing for 2+ hours, it can happen after playing for less than 5 minutes.

Also, this has been an issue for YEARS. If it's something players are doing wrong, it doesn't seem like much effort has been made to educate us.

UPDATE: Here's my morning so far:

1. Run Trove. Game crashes in about 15 minutes.
2. Find this discussion, add my comment.
3. Run Trove. Use loot collector. Try to travel. Game crashes.

That's 2 crashes in about 30 minutes, one after SECONDS of playing. There's a lot about this game I like, but stuff like this makes me wish I'd never heard of it.
