But can it run Ryse at 4k?
Hey all,

as you know, the Steam store page only allows you to enter "Minimum" and "Recommended" specs on the store page, so we chose to use that room for the requirements to run the game at any resolution.

However, we have previously mentioned that "Ryse: Son of Rome" supports glorious 4k resolutions, so you might be wondering what specs you would need to run it like this?

Here you go!

Recommended Specs to run "Ryse: Son of Rome" at 4K:

CPU: Quad Core or Eight Core CPU
CPU Details: SSE1-3, 8+ logical processors
Memory: 8 GB RAM
GPU: DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB video RAM
OS: 64 bit Windows (Vista, 7, 8)
HDD: 26GB
Display: 4k Monitor (3840x2160 resolution)
Steam Account and Internet Connection

I've got AMD Athlon X4 750k and GTX 760. So, what resolution is more preferable for me?
800x600

1080p. Put those ROPS to good use.
Wooohooo bud! Long shot, but Cryteks been awesome with the stereoscopic support on the Crysis series - does Ryse support 3D Vision? Btw, thanks for doing a full steamworks implementation too! :)

Thanks- we are obviously big Steam fans ourselves, so getting a chance to do the full deal (down to community avatars^^) was pretty cool. However, there is no 3d support, sorry to disappoint on that end!
What kind of useless information is this? You're saying that a Geforce GT430-4GB and an Athlon II with 4 cores is enough to run this game at 4K resolution? How would this run, 1 frame every hour?
I can buy a 4k monitor or downsample from 4k to a 1080p monitor. :3

A bit off-topic, but will Crysis 3 ever be on Steam, i know it may be complicated because of EA, but is there even a chance?
That is down to our publisher EA, but I am not aware of any such plans.
Do you have any details on the graphics cards? As you might know there are a lot of cheap cards mit 4 GB VRAM out there like GT 630 or R7 250. And I don't think that they are able to handle 4K.
Fair point Thilo :) I think we will have a blog post about the specifics of 4k before release with more details.
I have a few questions I hope someone in the know can answer :

Where does the Xbox One build of Ryse stack up against the PC one at max settings ?
What features have been added to the PC compared to the Xbox One ?
What AA options are supported ?
Are cutscenes prerendered even on PC ?

Thanks if you can shed light on this.
I see. What about the Intel CPU? I guess the quad core is not Kentsfield from 2007? :-)
