The Graphics Stuttering Problem
I too have experienced the odd graphical stuttering in the game after beating the introductory mission. I haven't seen anyone experience a successful "fix" so far, with each thread having the developer ask the person to send the details of their computer and then nothing else follows this. I'd just like to add that I have tried playing a handful of custom campaigns, and in EACH ONE, they run perfectly fine for the first "level" of each campaign, then once the first whole scenario ends, the game begins having that weird stuttering problem, which is pretty annoying. Enough to turn me off from playing it, which is a shame because the game is great. I've tried turning off every single setting and my computer is completely capable of running the game, so I've no idea what to do. Just thought this info might help the devs out somehow.

(example: in the Dragonfall campain, the stuttering begins after the entier first mission is completed in the mansion, and they go to the city. In another campaign, you go to a club, go all over the club, various settings in the club, under the club, blah blah, fight all sorts of things, but once the setting moves to san francisco, boom, the stuttering begins again.)

Anywho, I hope you all get this jam sorted out! Great game otherwise.

The thing is that although many people, including me, have exactly the same problem, almost nothing is done about it. The game still gets great reviews, as it should, even though the stuttering issue is still present. Looks like the devs are active here so I hope that posts like this will raise their awareness that this is actually a big deal. I actually check if a new update is out almost everyday...

Yeah exactly. I love the game but with this problem I really can't stand playing it. Especially because it's getting pretty obvious it's not my computer being unable to handle it. Hopefully this info is somehow helpful, because I was hoping it was just a th ing that happened in the main Dragonfall campaign (as that's all people were complaining about).

Same here, i already sent them an email but only recieved the copy/paste response, i'm still hoping for a patch before the Christmas holidays since i intended to play this during that season...

Yep, I have this problem too. We're not alone. :)

Finally bit on the 66% sale after holding out for so long (bought SRR on release day, felt burned).

Game stutters like crazy. I max out Skyrim just fine but this game chugs along like a dying gopher.

The writing seems good. That's the only praise I had for the first game...

Please attempt the Basic Troubleshooting steps that can be found in the linked thread. If you are unable to resolve your issue with those steps then you may want to move onto the Advanced Troubleshooting steps, particularly Disabling the Steam Overlay. If you are still unable to resolve your issue then please follow the instructions for Reporting an Issue that can be found at the bottom of the linked post.

That is all nice and stuff but it was already said in previous threads and it didn't work, a better question is if the devs are working on it and if there has been any progress (or when should we expect a patch).

It doesn't seem to matter if I uncheck all the bells and whistles, lower the resolution and run it in a window, follow the troupleshooting tips, disable Steam overlay, etc. The game just stutters like it was programmed to do so. The running is super choppy, zooming/scrolling around the map is choppy, and I feel like I have to click hot spots more than once at times to activate them. It feels like the game drags on because of it and I have a hard time playing for longer than 10 - 20 minute sessions.
I understand that this issue may be frustrating, but as this is an issue that we have been unable to reproduce in house; we are unable to resolve the issue. In order to help track down the issue please leave a comment in this thread that contains a brief description of the issue overall, and as much information about your computer as you can. (To find this information please click on the "About this Mac, then more information.)

If you would like to you may also reach out to our support staff at info@hbs-studios.com and we can attempt more in depth information gathering and troubleshooting. If we are able to resolve this issue, or track down what may be causing this issue all threads that can be found on this or a related issue will be updated.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we figure things out.

I already done that, i've sent to that email my dxdiag file so i hope that it helps but i'm really disappointed to know they didn't figure out the problem let alone fix it. Oh well...

The problem could best be described as "consistent frame skipping". The game is certainly playable, but every 1 - 2 seconds movement of characters skips. Scrolling around the map is stuttered and never smooth.

AMD Phenom 9850 quad core 2.51 ghz

I have tried all suggestion to no effect.

I also never found any solution for this problem. I already sent details and debug infos to the Devs. I finally gave up, and don't play the game anymore. :(

Studder.
I never had this problem pre-directors cut. I didn't have this problem with DMS either. But now that I'm playing the game again I'm getting this strange studder when running around. I mean, it doesn't really make things hard in a turn-based game but it makes things really ugly.

Any suggestions to fix this?

Am I honestly the only one getting this issue?

It's extremely annoying.

Have you tried messing with the graphics settings?
