How to add BOT?

I bought the DOD:S,I only want to play with BOT,I don't know how to add BOT,may you help me?

I think Valve should implement real bots like Counter Strike. This may attract more players.

Ima bit confused one website says to unbalance teams so i can add plenty bots i have to type mp_teams_unbalance_limit "0"
another site says its the mp_limitteams variable i should use , i remember using something else but that might have been in counter-strike, no dod installed atm dont even know if add bot really work.

start console and type in sv_cheats 1 and type in dod_bot_add "number of bots"

it works for me but they just run around like madmen

the stock dods bots are as dumb as hell no AI at all, valve forgot to delete them or to lazy to work on them further. Better use Rcbots or Dog's bots as posted on page 1.

Yes, you can add bots in DoD: Source you want to play with "BOTS" or "ZOMBIE BOTS" or you want to put bots in your own server? If so, just watch this video as showing.

I love that dog's bot! It was the first working dods bot with some AI. Unfortuantely no more updates for it and you need a Dedicated server running to load it.

I prefer Rcbot2 now, much more advance AI, with more map supports, still being updated, it will run on a listenserver, etc etc.

Riochet, Deathmatch Classic, Team Fortress Classic, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life, Counter Strike, Counter Strike: Source, Half-Life 2 Deatchmatch, and more have plenty bots

none of the methods is working at all on
UBUNTU linux systems.
rcbot is doenst have any kind of LIVE support for this DOD:S game bot system
Type this into the console after LOAD THE GAME :
SV_Cheats 1
bot

RCbot2 has support for a Linux install. I have installed on linux and also a "docker" (linux based) and it works fine.
You just have to have the correct files and install. Files I used are here,.. http://www.dodbits.com/downloads/bots/rcbot/RCBots_Linux.zip

By the way in case someone looks at that install in the zip....

There is a document in that download, it describes issues (now resolved) I was having with a working set on a linux install but it would not in a linux docker, all fixed now but the document describes the successful linux install and has the files used to go in the dod folder.

It isn't a tutorial on how to do it... just what files used that do run rcbot2 on linux for a dods bot.

Zorin was used in that case.

today not works in ubuntu based linux.
zorin is not too popular, so not even the STEAM runs on it perfectly :/

sv_cheat must be set to 1, on local server.

but bot doesnt attack

Assuming there are 3rd party bots for the game, the modification would be server-side... which doesn't really affect VAC.

I always asked myself why are the bots in the morning at the servers in tf2 ^^
But i thought VAC-Ban are at all servers and u can't decide THIS bot can play and this bot can't play. If a server is vac-protected every bot get banned and now u say The admin of the server can decide which one gets banned?
